Olivia "Liv" Boeree (born 18 July 1984) is a poker player, TV presenter and model from England who won the 2010 European Poker Tour in San Remo. Born in Kent, Boeree studied Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Manchester, before moving to London at age 21.

Poker Career

Boeree was introduced to the poker industry when she was selected as one of five contestants for the reality TV show Ultimatepoker.com Showdown, which aired on Five in autumn 2005.. During the show she was coached by top poker players Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott.

After the show Boeree began playing poker regularly at the Gutshot club in London, and from there was asked to help out as an on-screen reporter for Gutshot TV at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Shortly afterwards she became the host of Challenge TV's on-line coverage of the European Poker Tour, also appearing as a reporter for the World Series of Poker Europe on WorldSeriesofPoker.com.

In May 2008 she won the 2008 Ladbrokes European Ladies Championships for $30,000. Boeree has accumulated a total of twelve World Series of Poker cashes to date, including finishing 18th in the 2012 World Series of Poker Europe for "?26,611.

On 21 April 2010, Boeree won the European Poker Tour main event in San Remo. Boeree won "?1,250,000 and thereby became the third woman ever to win an EPT title. This was also the fourth largest field size of a European Poker Tour event to date, attracting 1,240 entrants, surpassed by the PCA main events in 2009, 2010 and 2011, which also fall under the category of European Poker Tour.

She has shown continuous success on the EPT circuit with five Main Event cashes to date, and in September 2010 she finished second to Jens Thorson in the £2,000 No Limit Holdem Event in EPT London for £51,330.

Boeree has been a member of Team PokerStars Pro since September 2010 and her total live tournament winnings exceed $2,200,000.

Other activities

Boeree is known for multiple Reality TV appearances, her most recent being the co-star alongside poker player Kevin MacPhee of the Travel Channel show "I Bet My Life", aired across the USA on 4 November 2012.

She is the former co-host of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour, a weekly show that used to be aired on Channel 4 in the UK.

On 29 September 2010 she appeared on BBC Breakfast alongside Boris Becker, and in May 2010 she was interviewed on ITV's GMTV by Lorraine Kelly about her European Poker Tour win.

In 2006 she appeared on the Channel 4 show Codex.

On 21 July 2007 Boeree appeared on the ITV show Golden Balls, winning £6,500.50.

In 2011 Boeree was a member of the Celebrity Graduate Manchester University team that took part in BBC2's seasonal general knowledge tournament, Celebrity Christmas University Challenge.

She has also modelled in mainstream magazines, including a three-page feature in the November 2008 issue of Loaded Magazine, and had an online feature and photoshoot for Maxim Magazine.
