FOX has announced the Houston and Atlanta open audition dates for the third edition of "American Idol."

Not to be confused with their other already announced upcoming "The Will" reality series created by "Bachelor" creator Mike Fleiss, Variety reports that ABC has picked up another reality series entitled "The Family" that pits extended family members against each other not for an inheritence, but instead for a chance at $1 million.
ABC to produce American version of British 'Survivor'-like celebrity reality TV show

Variety reports that ABC will spend 15 consecutive nights this midseason giving famous names who are used to the pampered life a dose of harsh reality. The network has picked up a domestic version of the hit British reality entry "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"
