James Clement Biography(Courtesy Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

James Clement (born March 9, 1977 in Lafayette, LA was a contestant on Survivor: China. He was the 10th contestant voted out, becoming the 4th member of the jury. Clement is also competing in Survivor: Micronesia as one of the returning favorites. He owns a burial service and works as a gravedigger. In addition, he works security at nightclubs and weddings, and bartends on the side. He lives with his pit bull Brently.

Survivor: China

Early in the game, James was the quiet, hard-working member of Fei Long, one of the two original tribes. In episode 5, in lieu of a Reward Challenge, local fishermen dropped off messages instructing each tribe to select the two strongest members from the other tribe to be added to their own; Fei Long selected Frosti and Sherea while Zhan Hu selected Aaron and James. In the first Immunity Challenge following the switch, Jaime and Peih-Gee threw the challenge so they could vote out their two new tribemates. James was very upset by this, even asking to be voted off.

In the following episode his former tribemates kidnapped him. In Survivor: China the kidnapped contestant had to give a member of the tribe that kidnapped him a clue to the location of the hidden immunity idol. Todd convinced James to give him the Hidden Immunity Idol clue with a promise to save James in return. Amanda, along with Todd, located the idol and gave it to James, along with the clues for James to locate the idol at his own camp. Todd also told Denise and Courtney about the Hidden Immunity Idol and his plan for Fei Long to win the next Immunity Challenge. James would then reveal the Hidden Immunity Idol at Tribal Council, thus negating all votes against him (Zhan Hu was planning to vote him off next), and eliminating Jaime. Despite the best efforts by the Fei Long tribe to win and James to help throw the food eating Immunity Challenge, Zhan Hu won immunity forcing Fei Long to vote someone out.

In episode 7 members of Zhan Hu noticed a piece of their peifang was missing, prompting Jaime to pick up the false plaque left behind. Later, Jaime searched James\' bag and discovered he had two plaques hidden in his pants. She did not actually see the plaques, and thus did not realize the plaque she had was a false Idol. The tribes merged, forming Hae Da Fung. The merged tribe voted Jaime off, who tried to use her fake Immunity Idol to save herself. Jeff tossed the plaque into the fire after telling Jaime it was fake.

In episode 8 Todd, feeling slighted by James having both Hidden Immunity Idols and not giving one to him, approached Amanda and Frosti about blindsiding James at Tribal Council. Since Jean-Robert also had the same plan of blindsiding James, Todd changed his mind and instead voted off Jean-Robert, saving James from being votd off for the first time.

However, in episode 10, Amanda announced her plot to blindside James at the next tribal council, as long as he didn\'t win individual immunity. He didn\'t win, and Amanda convinced 4 other players to vote for James. Not feeling threatened, and therefore not playing either of his Immunity Idols, James was the 10th contestant voted off Survivor: China, becoming the 4th member of the jury.

For the first time in Survivor history, James became the first castaway to have two idols in his possession at the same time. In addition, James was the first person to be voted out with both of his idols with him and unused.

During the reunion, James was awarded a $100,000 prize as the most popular player in Survivor: China, beating fellow favorites Denise Martin and Peih-Gee Law.

Survivor: Micronesia

James, along with fellow castaway Amanda Kimmel, returned to Survivor for Survivor: Micronesia, where a tribe of Survivor favorites compete against a tribe of ultimate Survivor fans. James began on the Malakal tribe, along with the other favorites. He quickly found a love interest in Survivor: Cook Islands alumna Parvati Shallow. In episode 5 the tribes are mixed up in a schoolyard pick. Both James and his love interest became members of the Airai tribe.
