Alan Cox Biography

Alan Cox was a 29-year-old from Los Angeles, CA, and Kirlyam Cox was a 21-year-old from Goiania, Brazil, when she came to America on a K-1 visa.

The couple had originally met when Alan was on a Mormon mission trip in Kirlyam's hometown.

The pair were virgins at the time of their wedding, which took place in a Mormon temple.

Alan and Kirlyam are still together and they have one child, a boy named Liam whom they welcomed in October 2017.

After initially continuing live in Los Angeles with their son, the couple decided to move to Freemont, Utah and live with Alan's parents while Alan returned to school.

In April 2020, Alan and Kirlyam appeared on TLC's 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined, a spinoff that gave viewers a glimpse into the lives of former 90 Day Fiance franchise stars as they quarantined at home amid during coronavirus pandemic.

During the couple's 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined segment, Alan explained they were no longer staying with his parents in Utah and were now living in Charlotte, NC.

However, Kirlyam had traveled to Brazil with their son to visit her family before the pandemic hit and was now more or less gotten stranded there.

"This is real. This coronavirus has gotten people friggin -- I just can't believe it," Alan said. "The reality we are living in right now scares me."

Alan prayed he could be reunited with his family soon, but he didn't want to put either of them at risk.
