Jennifer Murphy (born 1979) is a beauty pageant queen, reality television contestant and business woman.

Murphy grew up in Medford, southern Oregon, with her eleven siblings (she is the second oldest among her five sisters and six brothers). She was partially home schooled but also attended Seton High School which she graduated from in 1996.

Pageants

Murphy won the Miss Oregon USA title in late 2003, having previously competed in the Miss Oregon system for Miss America. She represented Oregon at the Miss USA 2004 pageant held in April 2004 in the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Murphy placed in the top 10 in the pageant, which was won by Shandi Finnessey of Missouri, only the second placement by a delegate from Oregon in over ten years.

Business

Jennifer was inspired by her father's entrepreneurial talent and began working full-time at seventeen, whilst also completing courses in business and marketing at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University. She has continued to work in the advertising, sales and marketing industry for the past ten years. Most of her early working career was spent with Yellow Pages. She became the Phone Directories Company's youngest international advertising manager at age 23. Murphy has been recognised with a number of titles and awards, including being named Spokesperson for the Association of Directory Publishers.

Murphy's passion is real estate. After giving up her Miss Oregon USA title, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she is co-founder, CEO and president of her own real estate development company. She is currently overseeing the construction of residential subdivisions.

The Apprentice

Murphy's business acumen led her to being hand-picked by Donald Trump to appear on the fourth season of The Apprentice. Murphy was "fired" in week 6, along with three others, for being involved in the worst defeats in the show's history. Murphy has admitted that she spoke to Trump about the opportunity of appearing on his show when she was competing at the Miss USA pageant. The pageant is part of the Miss Universe Organization which is owned by Trump .

Personal

Apart from her business talent, Murphy is a trained vocalist dancer and enjoys figure skating, snow skiing, white water rafting and four wheeling in her Jeep. She also volunteers with non-profit organizations, and coaches young people on how to succeed in business and build entrepreneurial skills.

She has remained involved in pageants, hosting the Miss Oregon USA 2006 pageant won by Allison Machado and judging the Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2006 pageant. Machado also hails from Murphy's hometown Medford.

Murphy married Bill Dorfman, a dentist from ABC's reality show Extreme Makeover, on July 7, 2006. They were married at the Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles.

She filed for divorce on July 9, 2007 after 1 year of marriage.
