Hasselback, who was unmarried and known as Elisabeth Filarski when she appeared on the second Survivor edition in Spring 2001, is the current host of the Style Network's The Look for Less program, a position she's held since Fall 2001 and one of the co-hosts of ABC's The View. Considered the last true "Survivor sweetheart" by many fans, Hasselback married her college boyfriend, former Boston College quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, in Summer 2002. A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, Hasselbeck currently divides her time between New York, New York, and Los Angeles, California. Previous to her Survivor appearance she was employed as only female footwear designer for Puma North America, where she was given the chance to design for supermodel Christy Turlington's NUALA yoga footwear line. In addition to her Puma work, Hasselbeck has been working for the past five years on a line of greeting cards, bags, planners and shoes. Her husband Tim is currently a backup quarterback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. Elisabeth graduated from Boston College where, as a student, she spent time in Belize teaching in the rainforest and spent three weeks in Italy developing products for her job.
She describes herself as impulsive, intuitive, and devoted. Filarski enjoys watching football (particularly when Tim is playing), partaking in outdoor sports, and listening to her brother Kenny jam on his guitar. Filarski played softball while attending Boston College.
