Sarah Hudson (born 1984) is a singer-songwriter. Raised in Los Angeles, California, she attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. She has also trained under voice instructors Elisabeth Howard and Dena Murray. Hudson currently lives in New York City.
Sarah is the daughter of record producer and 1970s television personality-pop singer Mark Hudson (Hudson Brothers) and established european dancer, Wendy Gotelee. She has one stepsister, Melanie. Her uncle Bill Hudson was once married to Goldie Hawn. She is a first cousin of Kate Hudson, and her godfather is Ozzy Osbourne.
Hudson was featured on Frontline in its report "The Way The Music Died." Hudson's previous record label, S-Curve Records, folded before her debut album, Naked Truth, was officially released. Collaborators include Desmond Child, Eric Bazilian, Billy Mann, Ozzy Osbourne and Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler. Sarah has been featured in Interview Magazine, WWD, YM, Seventeen, TeenVogue and Elle. She has also appeared on a Season 1 episode of Project Runway, during a challenge where the contestants had to design a rocker fashion with which she would portray her image. She was touted as an "up and coming rock star".
Work began in 2006 on a Hudson's new music project under the name Ultraviolet. As of 2006, the group's released their first EP, entitled Fast, Cheap and Out of Control, and their second EP, "Rock Is Dead" is near completion and due out in August 2007.
