The Bachelor alum Shayne Lamas and her husband, gossip blogger Nik Richie, have broken up and decided to go their separate ways after 11 years together, and Shayne has explained the reason why.

The former The Bachelor: London Calling winner and Leave It to Lamas star got married to Nik, whose real name is Hooman Karamian, in April 2010 in Las Vegas.

Shayne and Nik have already been spotted out partying and enjoying the single life with their respective friends, according to The New York Post's Page Six.

"Nik and I are best friends and will continue to raise our children as a team but our marriage has been empty for years," Shayne told Page Six in a statement.

"Nik and I have not been intimate in almost a year and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that will take a toll on any marriage no matter how much respect you have for each other."

Shayne called the pair's decision to separate "pure common sense," adding, "What we once had is no longer there."

Shayne and Nik tied the knot after reportedly knowing each other for only eight hours.

The couple went on to experience hardship, including a 2014 miscarriage, but Shayne and Nik ultimately became the happy parents of two children.

Shayne gave birth to a daughter, Press Dahl, in November 2011, and then the couple welcomed a son, Lyon Lamas-Richie, via surrogate in July 2015.

Shayne got engaged to The Bachelor: London Calling star Matt Grant after accepting his final rose and a marriage proposal during the show's pre-taped May 2008 finale.

However, the pair split two months later after a report that Shayne had cheated on Matt in Vegas -- where Shayne ironically married Nik -- surfaced.

"After my engagement to Matt ended... I was devastated and still in search of what I was originally seeking, which was to find love and start a family," Shayne told Page Six.

"The Hollywood socialite scene I was in left me in a massive state of depression and I lacked fulfillment. Shortly after The Bachelor and Leave It to Lamas, I married a man in Vegas after knowing him less than 24 hours on a complete whim."

Shayne continued, "But I can honestly say after 11 years of marriage and two beautiful and thriving children, it was a successful decade."

Leave It to Lamas premiered in October 2009 on E! and lasted only one season. Shayne and Nik also appeared on VH1's Couples Therapy in 2012.
