Nate and Jennylee finally locked lips during Wednesday night's episode of Beauty and the Geek and another couple was eliminated from the third season of The CW series.

Nadia, a 25-year-old model and bartender from Chicago, IL, and Mario, a 25-year-old writer and comic book collector from Bridgeport, WV, were the fifth couple eliminated during the show's third season.  In the elimination round, they faced  Jennylee, a 22-year-old model and Ultimate Fighting Championship ring girl from Sherman Oaks, CA, and Niels, a 25-year-old University of California electrical engineering graduate student from Silver Spring, MD.

Both Jennylee and Nadia answered their questions about tools and building correctly, but Mario didn't know that mirroring was when a person duplicates the behavior of their date, meaning he and Nadia were sent packing.

Beauty and the Geek 3's fifth episode began with Jennylee and Niels returning after the previous elimination, much to the joy of Nate, a 21-year-old Harvard University student from Evergreen, CO.  He said seeing Jennylee return made him "realize how sad" he'd feel if he never were to see her again.  That night, before bed, Jennylee and Nate sat together in a dimly lit room when Jennylee asked him, "What's going on in your head?"  Nate said he was still surprised Jennylee "might have a crush" on him, and while he was talking, she kissed him on the cheek.

"I know he's a super-shy guy," said Jennylee.  "I'd love to make him feel more comfortable with me.  The more time we spend together, the more comfortable he'll be."

The next morning, Beauty and the Geek 3 host Mike Richards told the four remaining couples he was going to "shake things up a bit" by adding a player to each team.  All the remaining girls, who are members of the "blond gaggle," immediately freaked that it would be formerly eliminated contestants who would be returning.  But they had nothing to fear, as dogs turned out to be the new addition to each team.  Jennylee and Niels got an English bulldog, Cecille and Nate befriended a chihuahua, Scooter and Megan picked a dotson and Mario and Nadia chose a golden retriever.

The dogs weren't just for fun, as they would play a role in the next challenge.  The guys had to take their "furry chick magnets" to a nearby park and, using their pups as a conversation starter, get as many phone numbers as possible.  The girls then had to build each of their dogs a house.  As the guys worked on their pick-up lines, Nate thought Cecille was treating their dog "like a doll for her to play with."  Normally hanging in the background, Nate said he finally decided to "put his foot down" and tell Cecille to stop.

"Cecille doesn't think about other people or other beings, she's just thinking about herself," said Nate.

Once the guys' challenge got underway, Mario used what he called "the self-esteem approach," telling women he needed their phone numbers to boost his self-confidence.  The strategy seemed to be working -- at least until Nate approached some girls that had just talked to Mario.  Nate referred to Mario as "strange" in the girls' presence, a move that appeared to have a direct impact on the challenge, as Nate beat Mario by only one phone number.

"I felt good I was able to get so many girls' phone numbers in so little time," said Nate.  "[I also learned] it's okay if you get rejected because it's easier to ask the next time."

With Nate and Cecille safe from elimination, the girls began to prepare for their challenge.  Niels said Jennylee was "starting to grate" on him, while Scooter began to see an attitude change for the better with Megan, and Nadia was less than confident about her construction skills.  The beauties were each given a tool box, one hour and all of the supplies needed to make a dog house at 41 Sets Design Studio, with their creations being judged on stability, design and precision.

Cecille used double-stick tape to assemble her house, which Nate referred to as more of a "doggy bordello." Nadia was having all sorts of problems, making her feel like she let Mario down.  "I'm the one that needs to be in the doghouse," she said.

With the competition down to Megan and Jennylee, Megan kicked it into high gear to win her first challenge, which she attributed to the fact that she wasn't required to open her mouth and talk the entire time.

"It feels so good," she said.  "I think I really deserved it because I worked hard."

Jennylee was immediately distraught upon learning she'd lost the challenge, saying she wasn't very happy about being back in the elimination round.  "These are the last few hours I might be spending with everyone here... especially Nate."  As they embraced in the darkness, Nate told Jennylee, "There's something I want to do, but I don't know if I should do it."  This led to a long kiss on the stairway, which could probably be better described as making out.

"It was really nice," said Nate afterwards.  "It felt great to be connected to her like that."

While Nate and Jennylee's relationship was taking off, her relationship with Niels was on the rocks.  However the team pulled it together and studied hard before entering the elimination round.  Jennylee was still unsure that she could retain so much knowledge in such a short amount of time while Nadia showed-off her knowledge about tools to Cecille and Megan.  Just before entering the elimination, Jennylee and Nate embraced once more, with Jennylee confiding that she was "so scared."

"I can't imagine she won't be here," he said.  "When I leave here, my life [will] have changed, and Jennylee will be a big part of that."  Nate had nothing to worry about as Jennylee and Niels bested Mario and Nadia.

"You can take the geek out of the mansion, but you can't take the friends out of his heart," said Mario as he left.

With Nadia and Mario joining Erin and Drew, Matt and Andrea, Sheree and Piao, and Tori and Sanjay as the couples having been eliminated, three teams -- Nate and Cecille, Jennylee and Niels, and Megan and Scooter -- remain in the running to win the show's $250,000 grand prize.  Beauty and the Geek 3 will continue on Wednesday, February 7 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
