Married at First Sight star Jamie Thompson apparently cringes watching his arguments with wife Elizabeth Bice back on TV and wishes he could rewind, go back, and change things.

During a recent Married at First Sight ninth-season episode on Lifetime, Jamie confronted Elizabeth about how her insecure jokes regarding him dumping her at the end of the show hurt his feelings because she probably thought there was some truth to them.

But Elizabeth accused Jamie of bringing her down and breaking down their relationship too often with his negativity. She admitted to her husband he talked too much and made her "feel like sh-t."

During a Wednesday appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Jamie watched a clip of that fight and insisted he'd like to change his behavior so his wife wouldn't feel like that anymore.

"I definitely [want to change that]. That's not my intent," Jamie said of making Elizabeth feel like sh-t.

"I hate the way we just talked to each other. We don't really think about what we're saying and how it affects the other person."

Despite their brutal arguments, both Elizabeth and Jamie claimed to be in love at this point in the process and had expressed those feelings to each other multiple times. They also had a very passionate sex life.

"I do [love her]. I really feel that way," Jamie said. "I want to be with her. I want her to be happy. I want to build a life together."

Jamie noted, however, the pair certainly weren't acting as if they were married and in love several weeks into the extreme experiment.

"It seems like we're both just trying to look out for ourselves," Jamie confessed on Unfiltered.

"I just want to push the rewind button and go back and say, 'Let's start this over, because somewhere along the way, we got really off course here.'"

If Jamie could actually go back and do it all over again, he said he'd "have more patience" with Elizabeth.

"I would listen more instead of talking and jabbing back. I would try to be more compassionate, and I think with Elizabeth, especially, just try to get to the deeper meaning," he explained.

Jamie was joined by his Married at First Sight co-stars Amber Bowles and Iris Caldwell -- who wed Matthew Gwynne and Keith Manley, respectively for the show -- on Unfiltered, and both women were asked to give their opinions on Jamie's fight with Elizabeth.

"When I'm watching that, I see two hurting people. And I see that you're both arguing about something that really there's this deeper meaning to it," Amber said.

"I completely agree with Amber," Iris noted.

"[There's] two hurting people, like, every conversation is a broken conversation based on what happened that did not get resolved last time."

Jamie, however, insisted he was hopeful he could get his marriage to Elizabeth back on track.

"I think the thing about Beth and I, is we go through this stuff and then we always come back together," Jamie shared.

"And if there's that kind of desire to keep trying and keep pushing forward and at least we know we're going to stay together, then yeah, we'll figure it out -- at least at some point, we'll figure it out."

Earlier in the Unfiltered broadcast, Amber had also revealed she wasn't sure whether Matt was truly ready for what he had signed up for on Married at First Sight's ninth season.

"All of this information is letting me know that Matt's not really ready for marriage at this point," Amber vented.

"I'm just feeling like Matt's biggest concern right now is Matt and what he needs to do in his life. And that's fine, but he probably shouldn't have done this if he wasn't ready for forever."

In addition, Iris also opened up about her frustration with Keith and his friends over the fact they had welcomed themselves to her lemonade that was off limits during a house party.

Keith and Iris had hosted a party at their place for friends and Iris bought a certain amount of food and beverages designated for their guests.

However, at one point in the night, Keith's friends went into the refrigerator, grabbed a jug of lemonade, and apparently drank the whole thing.

Iris instantly got angry and scolded Keith's friends, saying they were only allowed two drinks each -- a comment his friends scoffed at. Keith didn't understand why Iris had gotten so upset, but they hashed things out later on.

"I think [Keith] handled [the situation] okay, but I don't think he really took my concerns seriously. I don't think he ever did," Iris said during Married at First Sight: Unfiltered.

"He was very much the same way [as his friends], like, 'Okay, it's just juice.' And it is just juice, but that's not the whole topic of our discussion right now."

Iris explained, "It's respect. It's respect of your friends actually understanding where the boundaries are in our household."
