Crystal Bowersox is insisting there's no beef between her and Ryan Seacrest.

"I am not mad at Ryan Seacrest," the American Idol ninth-season finalist told Us Weekly after last night's live Top 7 performance show.

"He is a great man. We just bumped into each other and had a good talk."

Last Friday, Seacrest confirmed an earlier TMZ report that he stopped Bowersox from quitting the show's ninth season during a conversation they had two weeks ago in a parking lot. Bowersox was reportedly contemplating quitting because she missed her family in Ohio.

Then on Monday, ousted ninth-season semifinalist Katelyn Epperly told a hometown radio station that she received a text from Bowersox in which she stated she felt "betrayed" by the American Idol host.

However Bowersox said the incident has been blown out of proportion.

"We had a conversation, but it definitely didn't go down the way it has been portrayed. We had a simple, civil conversation," she told Us. "Ryan gave me great advice, and I highly respect him."

In addition, Bowersox reiterated Epperly's claim that she "never intended on quitting."

"It has been an amazing journey out there so far," she told Us.

Bowersox and Seacrest seemed to bury the hatchet during last night's performance episode, as he consoled her after she was visibly emotional following her rendition of "People Get Ready."

"I love you Ryan," said Bowersox to him after he let her use his handkerchief to dry her eyes.
