Matt appeared on Tuesday's episode of Good Morning America and appeared to slip that he got engaged at the end of The Bachelor's 25th season, which wrapped filming in late November 2020 and is currently airing on ABC.

Matt discussed bullying claims and his decision to eliminate the so-called "mean girls" Victoria Larson and Anna Redman in his interview about The Bachelor with GMA anchor T.J. Holmes.

"I'm a firm believer everything happens for a reason... and I don't have any regrets," Matt revealed.

But it wasn't until the very end of his interview that Matt seemed to give away something big.

"Matt, good luck the rest of the way. We'll see you back here with your fiancee in a couple of weeks, okay?" T.J. said to the 29-year-old The Bachelor star.

Matt then smiled and responded, "I'm looking forward to it, thank you."

Once Matt's videochat interview ended and footage flashed to T.J. and fellow GMA anchor Robin Roberts in the studio, Robin gasped with a huge smile and noted, "He didn't deny it!"

Matt didn't seem to have a clear frontrunner in The Bachelor competition until Monday night's episode, which featured the show's star confessing his strong feelings for Rachael Kirkconnell.

Matt told Rachael on their one-on-one date that she didn't need to do or say anything to grab his attention when standing in a room with the other women, and Rachael admitted she didn't feel deserving of Matt's affection.

"The butterflies have not stopped since Night 1... The nerves have not gone away at all," Rachael shared. "I am already completely falling in love with you, and I want to walk out of here with you. I want to start my life with you, and I hope that will happen."

Matt then shared with Rachael in reply, "You're not crazy because I feel the same way."

"Rachael, I'm falling in love with you too," Matt continued with no fear or hesitation, "and it is scary to say, but when I'm with you, it just feels right."

Matt told the cameras he could envision himself getting down on one knee and proposing marriage to Rachael at the end of his season.

"When I look at Matt, I see the man I've been searching for and praying for and waiting for," Rachael told the cameras after their date. "I can easily see [myself] spending the rest of my life with Matt. I've been waiting my whole life for this guy, and he's here!"

Although Rachael is the first woman to whom Matt expressed he's falling for on the show, Matt has been shown developing deep connections with multiple women -- including Bri Springs and newcomer Michelle Young.

Matt also seemed smitten with Abigail Heringer and Kit Keenan on Monday night's episode.
