Married at First Sight star Alyssa Ellman allegedly wasted little time trying to determine if she could get out her marriage to Chris Collette and contacted a lawyer about the matter while the new husband and wife were obtaining their marriage license.

Alyssa, 30, appeared to join Married at First Sight's fourteenth-season cast in the hope of being matched with her dream guy to some extent, and she determined only hours after her wedding ceremony that her groom, Chris, 35, wasn't her type and they weren't a good match for an alleged number of reasons.

Alyssa slept in a different hotel room from her husband on their wedding night, but she proceeded to go on their honeymoon to San Juan, Puerto Rico, seemingly with the intention of spending time with her new MAFS girlfriends while maintaining her distance from Chris.

When asked to describe Alyssa's effort on her honeymoon during the February 9 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, fellow Season 14 bride Lindsey Georgoulis told the talk show's host Keshia Knight Pulliam, "I'll tell you."

"The effort she made was to call her lawyers to see if she could get out of [the marriage]," Lindsey claimed.

"Time out," Keshia shouted in astonishment. "Did you hear this conversation?!"

"I heard one on them -- when we were getting our marriage licenses," Lindsey replied.

Chris then reflected back on a moment when he and Alyssa sat down with the officiant after their wedding at city hall in Boston, MA.

"The officiant said, 'Would you guys like to get married?' He's thinking it's a celebration -- like I get to watch them both say 'I do' again -- and I said, 'Yes.' [Alyssa] sat in silence and she said nothing," Chris revealed.

"She already signed the paperwork, so he then signed it, which made it official. But he wanted to hear the 'I do' and she wouldn't say it."

Chris also confirmed Lindsey's allegation that Alyssa was "talking to her lawyers" shortly after they had tied the knot.

And Chris noted, "Keep in mind that we spent about a total of 45 minutes to an hour together [by that point]."

Alyssa quickly came to the conclusion that Chris was "immature," and she had heard from his groomsmen how Chris is an opinionated man who can be a bit argumentative and "condescending," which essentially sent Alyssa into a tailspin of tears.

Alyssa told Chris that they're "not compatible" and have totally different hobbies and lifestyles, and so she appeared to avoid Chris for most of her honeymoon unless the pair did a light activity together such as paddleboarding or tennis.

Chris shared on Afterparty how hanging out with Alyssa was totally different when they were alone vs. with the group during their week in San Juan.

"There wasn't really ever a time that it was just me and Alyssa because all of the time we spent together was doing an activity," Chris recalled.

Chris told Keshia there were a "couple of times" when he tried to talk to Alyssa one-on-one, like "when we were the first ones to [get to the] transportation [van] or we were in the airport and we were waiting in the security line and it's just us next to each other."

Chris said he was "trying to make conversation" with Alyssa in these private, off-camera moments, and they went well for the most part.

"I think that she's nicer during those periods," Chris conceded. "But I think it's because those are the periods when there's no pressure to talk about what the hell is going on in our relationship."

Married at First Sight star Katina Goode accused Alyssa of shutting down in her marriage simply because she wasn't physically attracted to Chris, but Chris said on Afterparty that Alyssa had never told him that to his face -- not even to this day.

When Chris asked Alyssa if she'd consider moving in with him once they returned to Boston, MA, she confessed how she wouldn't feel comfortable with that and her ideal scenario would be to share the apartment, but separately.

Alyssa envisioned Chris living in the apartment for two weeks and then passing it along to her for two weeks so she could still be a part of the experiment and spend time with her girls.

Alyssa even vented during the latest Married at First Sight fourteenth-season episode, "I do not want to talk to him! I hate him! He is a f-cking assh-le! He is disrespectful and rude, and he's doing me dirty!"

Alyssa was furious Chris had questioned her intentions for going on the show, and she complained, "I'm a good person and if I don't come off that way on this show, I'm going to be f-cking pissed!"

Chris, not willing to totally give up on his marriage after less than one week, told Alyssa that if she was "all out," then he would be as well, but if she was even "one percent in," he'd be "all in" for her going forward.

Alyssa, however, refused to give Chris a straight answer, knowing she didn't want her experience and time on Married at First Sight to end.

Chris definitely had a rocky honeymoon with Alyssa, but he said he at least had "a fantastic time" hanging out with the other cast members and going scuba diving.
