Married at First Sight star Alexis has explained why she ignored Justin and didn't pursue a romance with him after they matched on a dating app.

Alexis, a 29-year-old logistics specialist, and Justin, a 33-year-old digital marketing specialist, were matched to wed in San Diego by Married at First Sight experts Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Pepper Schwartz.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Alexis watched back a Season 15 clip of Justin gushing to the other couples about his attraction to Alexis and how she made him feel during their honeymoon in Mexico.

"When she touches me, I get goosebumps from my head to my feet. I'm just, like, 'Girl!'" Justin says.

"I'm the problem. That's what it is," Alexis jokes.

"You are not the problem," Justin responds in the goofy conversation.

Alexis admitted to Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam that it felt "hot" in the room.

"It's just uncomfortable to be in front of an audience talking about my husband's manhood," Alexis said.

Justin had been very vocal about his attraction to Alexis from the start, and so Keshia asked Alexis if she was attracted to her new husband.

"I entered this experiment like everyone else, open to the fact that someone may not be my type," Alexis explained. "So in this moment, I'm getting with the program. He's not my 'type' but he's my husband."

Alexis shared how Justin was pretty "invasive" when they matched on the Hinge dating app about four months prior to marrying a stranger.

"He was very, like, picky. I don't want to say 'annoying,' but he was a little annoying on Hinge," Alexis confessed.

"Yeah, so he was in my messages a lot, so then he followed me on Instagram, and he was like, 'Hey, do you remember me? What happened to our conversation on Hinge?' And I was like, 'I know exactly who you are. No thank you.'"

Given Alexis had turned Justin down on two social-media platforms, she must have been surprised to see that Justin was her husband.

"I felt like it was a sick joke. I was like, 'God, you are out here playing in my face! You are playing,'" Alexis said, recalling how she processed seeing Justin standing at the top of the altar.

"And then after a while, I was really just like, 'We're meant to be together.'"

During last week's episode of Afterparty, Justin shared his version of the dating-app story, and he verified how the pair had seen each other on Hinge before he followed her on Instagram.

"So then I sent her a DM, and I was like, 'Yo, it's Justin from Hinge.' And she was like, 'I know.' And I was like, 'Oh, okay. That's it? You ain't interested? Alright, cool,'" Justin recalled to Keshia. "And so, we just left it at that."

Justin shared how his "next interaction" with Alexis was "at the altar."

Surprisingly, Justin admitted that he did not recognize Alexis "at all" on their wedding day.

"I didn't recognize her until after we were sitting down," Justin claimed. "Actually, I think we were in bed, and she was like, 'You DMed me.' And I was like, 'I did?' And then when I looked at her profile, I was like, 'Oh snap!'

When Alexis walked down the aisle and saw Justin, she told the cameras, "Physically, he's not awful, but he's not my type by looking at him."

But when she got to talk to him, she said their flirtatious and fun banter made her feel comfortable.

As the night progressed, Alexis loved her conversations with Justin, and the pair agreed marrying a stranger had been "worth the wait" and seemed to be the right decision. Their chemistry also grew as they spent more time together.

"When I was walking down the aisle, it wasn't so clear. It was not obvious that this was going to be the man of my dreams," Alexis told the cameras, "but after getting to know him, the superficialness of me walking down the aisle and not being immediately attracted to him seems silly."

And Justin said Alexis was 100 percent his type and he "couldn't have asked for a better wife."

The couple did not consummate their marriage during their first night together, but Alexis proudly listed herself as "wifey" in Justin's phone the next morning.

Alexis and Justin then took off to Mexico for their honeymoon, and Alexis told the other cast members how she and Justin had originally matched on Hinge.

"We probably could've been married four months ago if I would've responded," Alexis said with a laugh.

Alexis' Married at First Sight co-star Stacia Karcher told the cameras that fate must have played a role in Alexis' life, especially since Alexis had said she almost missed out on what could end up being the greatest thing in her life.

Married at First Sight's currently-airing season on Lifetime also stars Krysten and Mitch, Stacia and Nate, Morgan and Binh, and Lindy and Miguel.
