Hosted by Terrence "J" Jenkins, Coupled will give women first choice in a format that initially seems somewhat similar to ABC's Bachelor in Paradise. Coupled will follow 12 single, smart and young professional women looking for love as they meet eligible single men face-to-face in the Caribbean Islands.

The women must instantly decide whether they feel enough of a spark or chemistry to continue spending time with a particular guy, and if no connection is made, she can wait for the next man. Drama unfolds as new couples are formed and compatibility will determine whether the relationships can last long-term.

In a new twist, the couples will be given cell phones and texting conversations will be displayed onscreen for viewers to read.

Fox announced it had ordered the unscripted series back in January from Burnett, the Emmy-Award winning executive producer and reality TV pioneer behind shows including Survivor, The Apprentice, The Voice, and Shark Tank. Coupled is Burnett's first reality dating show project.

The premiere of Coupled will be preceded by the debut of Hotel Hell's third season at 8PM ET/PT.

Coupled is being produced by MGM Television and Grandma's House Entertainment with Burnett, Tom Shelly, Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark and Larry Barron serving as executive producers.
