The "Friends and former Vegas Showgirls" team became the third team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's third Pit Stop on the grounds of the Borobudur Temple in Indonesia in last place.

"We'll always be able to look back at this and think about all the amazing places we got to see and visit. Kaylani and I have learned a lot about each other that we didn't know. If anything, I think we'll be closer and better friends because of it," Lisa said following her team's ouster.

"Yeah, I get to go home and I hope my little girl is going to be proud of me," Kaylani said.

"She will," Lisa assured her.

The third episode of The Amazing Race's nineteenth season began where last week's broadcast left off, with the Race's nine teams meeting with The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan and leaving the course's second Pit Stop at Kraton Palace in the city of Goa Jomblang after encountering a double-elimination leg -- the first time in The Amazing Race history two teams were ever ousted in the same leg.

Since they had been the team to finish in first place at the Race's second Pit Stop, "Friends and former Olympic Snowboarders" Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin were the first team to depart from the palace at 7:38AM.

They were then followed by "Father/Son Adventurers" Laurence Sunderland and Zac Sunderland at 7:57AM, "Friends and former Vegas Showgirls" Kaylani Paliotta and Lisa Tilley at 8:02AM, "Engaged Couple" Ernie Halvorsen and Cindy Chiang at 8:14AM, "Twins" Liz Canavan and Marie Canavan at 8:18AM, "Dating Couple" Jeremy Cline and Sandy Draghi at 8:21AM, "Grandparents" Bill Alden and Cathi Alden at 8:22AM, "Siblings" Justin Young and Jennifer Young at 8:31AM, and "Married Couple" Marcus Pollard and Amani Pollard at 8:32AM.

Upon opening their departure clues, the teams were instructed to join a group of local enthusiasts who would be reenacting the bicycle patrols of the 1940s. The teams were required to fall into formation with fellow riders who were not in a hurry, and once they arrived at Fort Vredeburg, a bicycle guard commander would hand them their next clue.

Ernie and Cindy ran into a little trouble during their bicycle route when Ernie's bike pedal broke. During the time they spent attempting to fix the pedal, Liz and Marie, Jeremy and Sandy, Bill and Cathi, and Justin and Jennifer were able to gain ground and pass them.

Andy and Tommy were the first team to arrive and retrieve their clue at Fort Vredeburg, which instructed them to leave the busy streets of Goa Jomblang and head by taxi into the vast countryside of Salakmalang village in search of Lesehan restaurant where they would receive their next clue.

Following Andy and Tommy were Laurence and Zac, Kaylani and Lisa, Liz and Marie, Jennifer and Justin, Jeremy and Sandy, Bill and Cathi, Ernie and Cindy, and Amani and Marcus.

Although Ernie and Cindy struggled with the bike pedal earlier on and fell way behind the pack, they were able to catch up in their taxi. However, Kaylani and Lisa had a slow cab driver and were getting passed, while Amani and Marcus' driver got lost.

Andy and Tommy were the first team to arrive at the restaurant and they were then followed by Laurence and Zac, Justin and Jennifer, Jeremy and Sandy, Ernie and Cindy, Bill and Cathi, Kaylani and Lisa, Liz and Marie, and Amani and Marcus.

Once at the restaurant, the teams learned it was time for them to complete one of two Detour tasks: "Rice Field" or "Grass Fed."

"Rice Field" required the teams to deliver a midday meal to hardworking men and women, and while they ate, the teams had to plant 300 seedlings.

"Grass Fed" required the teams to properly fill two bags with freshly cut grass, pick up two sheep and bring them both to a shed, collect six buckets of water from a well using only two buckets per team, and then pour the water it into watering truck.

Andy and Tommy, Laurence and Zac, Justin and Jennifer, Jeremy and Sandy, Ernie and Cindy, Bill and Cathi, and Amani and Marcus opted to do the "Grass Fed" task because they thought it would be the more time efficient task, while Kaylani and Lisa and Liz and Marie chose to attempt the "Rice Field" task.

Amani and Marcus, struggling to survive in last place after their frustrating cab ride, failed to complete the "Grass Fed" task successfully because they were told they did not fill their grass bags enough. They knew they would have to go back and do that part of the task over again before moving on, so they strategically decided to switch tasks and take on the "Rice Field" one instead.

Andy and Tommy were the first team to complete the Detour task, and they were followed by Laurence and Zac, Liz and Marie, Kaylani and Lisa, Jeremy and Sandy, Ernie and Cindy, Justin and Jennifer, Bill and Cathi, and finally Amani and Marcus.

After completing their Detour tasks, the teams were instructed to travel by taxi to Borobudur Temple and climb the stairs to the top where they would receive their next clue.

Laurence and Zac arrived at the temple first and they were followed by Andy and Tommy, Kaylani and Lisa, Liz and Marie, Jeremy and Sandy, Bill and Cathi, Ernie and Cindy, Justin and Jennifer, and Amani and Marcus.

Upon arriving at the Borobudur Temple, the teams learned they had to complete a Roadblock task.

For the Roadblock task, one member of each team had to walk around the temple in a clockwise direction and identify Buddha statues with four distinct hand positions. Additionally, the teams must figure out that they needed to demonstrate those four hand positions. When a team had their proper count for each type of statue, they would receive their next clue.

Laurence opted to do the Roadblock task for his team, and he was later joined by Tommy, Lisa, Liz, Jeremy, Bill, Ernie, Justin, and Marcus.

Most of the teams struggled with the Roadblock as they weren't sure whether to count the carvings of Buddha on the walls of the temple as the statues. Many teams guessed a number far too high, while a couple of pairs decided to join forced and help each other.

Laurence and Zac helped Andy and Tommy, who then turned around and told Amani and Marcus the answer to the temple Roadblock when they crossed paths as Andy and Tommy were departing. However, Amani and Marcus didn't pay close enough attention and forgot what they were told by the time they arrived at the temple. Jeremy and Sandy and Justin and Jennifer figured out what the clue was asking them to do together and ended up working together.

Laurence and Zac were the first team to finish the Roadblock and they were then followed by Andy and Tommy, Bill and Cathi, Justin and Jennifer, Ernie and Cindy, Liz and Marie, Jeremy and Sandy, Kaylani and Lisa, and finally Amani and Marcus.

After completing the Roadblock, the teams learned they had to search the grounds for the Pit Stop.

Most of the teams rushed around to pay their cab drivers because they had not known the Pit Stop would be within walking distance of the temple and had therefore had their cab wait while they completed the Roadblock. Liz and Marie had trouble tracking down where their cab driver was because he had left, while Kaylani and Lisa wasted time paying their cab as well.

Amani and Marcus jumped ahead of many teams in the Race because they had already previously paid their cab driver and dismissed him. They had told him to leave upon arriving at the Roadblock because they felt he wasn't very helpful or efficient.

In addition, Jeremy and Sandy, whose taxi had broken down on the way to the Roadblock, passed many teams as well because they did not have to return to their cab and pay since they didn't have one waiting at all.

Laurence and Zac were the first team to arrive at the Pit Stop near the temple. However, Phil told them they were required to use only two buckets as a team during the "Grass Fed" Detour task and they used four, so they incurred a 15-minute time penalty as a result.

Andy and Tommy then met Phil on the mat while Laurence and Zac were waiting out their penalty, so they claimed first place and won a trip for two to Dubai.

Laurence and Zac then secured second place, while Jeremy and Sandy arrived in third place.

Justin and Jennifer were the next team to arrive at the Pit Stop in fourth and they were then followed by Ernie and Cindy, Amani and Marcus, Bill and Cathi, Liz and Marie, and finally Kaylani and Lisa in last place.
