Peter revealed he was "in love" with both Madison and Hannah Ann in the final days of filming The Bachelor in Australia, and he expressed to his parents how his heart was being pulled and torn in two directions.

"Being the Bachelor has been the most incredible experience of my life," Peter, 28, wrote Monday night on Instagram after Part 1 of the finale aired on ABC.

"I have grown in ways that I didn't even know possible. The two most beautiful things that happened to me throughout this journey have been @hannahann and @madiprew coming into my life and showing me love like I will never forget."

Peter's family preferred Hannah Ann after meeting both women, but Madison clearly had the edge when Peter revealed he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her despite his family's hasty opinion.

Peter said he'd do whatever it takes -- including making sacrifices and compromises -- to ensure his relationship with Madison would work out.

Peter, who loves partying and clubbing, for example, told the religious virgin he would grow and deepen his faith for her. He also shared with his brother Jack how he would be patient in waiting for sex until they got married.

However, Peter was left in turmoil after Madison quit the season due to their lifestyle differences and the Bachelor had to determine whether Hannah Ann was really meant to be his future wife.

With the Final Rose Ceremony coming up, Peter must decide if he wants to get engaged to Hannah Ann or leave the process alone.

But The Bachelor host Chris Harrison teased at the end of Monday night's broadcast fans haven't seen the last of Madison, and preview released by ABC showed Madison returning with some regrets.

Chris has also said the ending of Peter's season may be the most controverial and shocking ever -- and Peter himself doesn't even know the outcome.

"If you think you know how all of this is going to end, prepare to have your mind blown," Chris revealed.

Part 2 of Peter's The Bachelor finale is set to air on Tuesday, March 10 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

"No matter how this thing ends I will be forever grateful for you both and this once in a lifetime journey," Peter concluded in his Instagram post with a heart.

Peter also added the following hashtags: "#thebachelor #ntaustralia #redcentrent."

Along with his post, Peter shared multiple photos from his The Bachelor experience. One was a solo picture of himself, one photo featured Hannah Ann and Peter cuddling and smiling at each other, and another showed Peter and Madison walking together with his arm around her.

And finally, Peter uploaded an adorable image of him kissing a baby kangaroo wrapped in a scarf.

"Please tell me you pick the sweet baby kangaroo," The Bachelorette alum Dylan Barbour joked in the comments section of Peter's post.
