NBC has confirmed Louise Roe will be the new host of Fashion Star's second season and also anounced that Express will replace H&M as one of the show's three retail store buyers.

The addition of Roe, a British fashion journalist and editor-at-large of Glamour Magazine who previously hosted The CW's Plain Jane makeover series and also appeared on MTV's The City, had been previously announced by Fashion Star executive producer and former first-season host Elle Macpherson last month.

"Louise Roe is the perfect fit for this fashion-forward show as we prepare for a second exciting season," NBC reality chief Paul Telegdy said in a statement. "She's savvy, brassy and opinionated, and she commands respect for her extensive knowledge of the newest styles that are just around the corner."

"Fashion Star is a brilliant concept and such a fantastic show. I can't wait to get started," said Roe. "This is absolutely a dream job for me and I'm thrilled to also be hosting the backstage drama for our Web series and even blogging for the show. I look forward to covering it all and getting every scoop and detail!"

Express, a fashion retailer that specializes in men and women's merchandise, will join Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue as buyers on the panel in which a representative from each company makes purchase offers on the designs created by the show's contestants. The winning designs will be sold in stores and on each retailer's website immediately following every broadcast.

"We are also extremely pleased to be able to add Express as one of our fashion retailers this season," added Telegdy. "They are a pillar of the fashion retail community with more than 600 stores and billions in annual sales. Their addition to our team will enhance and complement our enormously talented all-star team."

"We are so excited to be a part of Fashion Star this season and offer our Express guy and girl the opportunity to shop looks just minutes off the runway," Express executive Lisa Gavales said in a statement. "Our customers are always on the cutting edge of fashion, and we feel passionate about presenting them with on-trend and of-the-minute styles week after week."

H&M's departure from the show was first reported in late June when Macpherson, a 48-year-old Australian supermodel, first announced she was leaving Fashion Star after just one season.

Fashion Star's celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos will all return for the reality fashion competition's next season, which will feature 12 new designers and is scheduled to air on Sunday nights beginning in January.
