The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt has revealed how criticism and backlash only fuel her determination as she prepares to return to Broadway in another major role.

Whitney recently filmed her final confessionals for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' fifth season, and she previously confirmed that the new season will be her last.

Although Mormon Wives skyrocketed Whitney to fame, she admitted in an interview with People that she stopped watching the Hulu reality series after Season 2 to prioritize her well-being and distance herself from negativity.
"I have learned to create more boundaries about what I share," Whitney, who helped to create #MomTok, explained to the magazine.

"I will always have haters, but I have found a way for it to motivate me where I'm like, 'Let me prove you wrong.'"
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives essentially served as a launching pad for additional opportunities for Whitney.
Whitney competed on Dancing with the Stars' 34th season with pro partner Mark Ballas, and although she didn't make the finale, the judges and majority of viewers seemed to agree that she was the best dancer of the season when it came to technique.
"[Dancing with the Stars] reignited something in me that I had lost," Whitney shared.
"I felt like I was this flower that wanted to bloom again, and Dancing with the Stars gave me that opportunity."

Whitney proceeded to take on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.
What started out as a six-week run beginning in February 2026 turned out to be a three-month gig that concluded in early May due to record-breaking box office numbers.
Whitney also announced the launch of a production company with her husband, Conner Leavitt, and she'll reportedly be starring in a holiday rom-com titled All for Love.
"I can't control people accepting me in their projects, so let me go out and create my own," she said.
Whitney's next move is to return to Broadway this winter to play Sandra Dee in Just in Time.

"I'm so excited... I cannot wait to be a part of that show," Whitney gushed.
She added, "I'll for sure at least be there for six weeks."
Actor Jeremy Jordan is currently the leading man in Just in Time, and Whitney will reportedly be starring opposite him for a limited six-week engagement from Tuesday, December 1 through Sunday, January 10, 2027.
"I do get bored easily, unfortunately, but it also motivates me," Whitney shared.
"I just think it's always been a part of me. I don't really have plans on stopping, and I just want to keep going... I don't plan on leaving the Broadway world anytime soon."

While many fans are going to miss Whitney when The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives moves ahead with Season 6, Whitney said the show will always have a special place in her heart.
"I see Secret Lives like a dirty soda," Whitney told People, referring to a popular drink with cream and syrup that Mormons enjoy.
"Am I leaving dirty soda and going to coffee? No. Dirty soda will always be a part of my life, as will The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."
Whitney pointed out how she just wants to "keep going" and remain ambitious and driven.

"I love a good challenge, and when somebody tells me I can't do something, it makes me want to do it even more," Whitney said.
As for whether she has any regrets, Whitney replied in her interview, "Regrets? Plenty. But I wouldn't change a thing."
