Married at First Sight star Chris Collette has revealed he's struggled to end prior relationships and that's one of the reasons why he decided to get married at first sight and wed Alyssa Ellman.

Alyssa, 30, and Chris, 35, were matched for matrimony on Season 14 of Married at First Sight by the show's experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson.

Once Alyssa and Chris tied the knot, it only took one night for Alyssa to determine they weren't a good match and she'd feel uncomfortable sleeping in the same hotel room as her husband.

Alyssa called Chris "immature" and had heard from his groomsmen how he's an opinionated man who can come across as "condescending," which essentially sent Alyssa into a tailspin of tears.

Alyssa also told the cameras Chris is not her "type," before admitting to her husband they're not compatible -- neither in their hobbies or lifestyles -- and she felt "gypped" in the experiment.

"There's a lot of feelings," Chris said on the February 9 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty when reflecting back on his unhealthy relationship with Alyssa and her clear distaste for him.

"Part of the reason why I did the show is because I've always had difficulty sort of knowing when to quit [a relationship]," Chris explained.

"And so it's just really, really hard for me to say, 'We're done.'"

Chris proceeded to watch back a Season 14 clip of Alyssa slamming and badmouthing Chris to the producers, presumably when she thought she wasn't on-camera and being filmed.

"You wanna talk to him?" a producer asks Alyssa in the clip.

"No, I do not want to talk to him! I hate him!" Alyssa yells in reply. "He's a f-cking assh-le! He's disrespectful and he's rude and he's doing me dirty."

Alyssa adds, "And it's f-cking disgusting that a man is treating a woman like that, who's been nothing but nice to him! I am a good person and if I don't come off that way on the show, I'm going to be f-cking pissed!"

Chris reacted to the clip as his MAFS co-star Lindsey Georgoulis comforted him by putting a hand on his arm.

"That's just a really crappy way to talk about someone," Chris noted on Afterparty.

"To talk like that about somebody and to admit while talking about it that you are very, very nice to that person is admitting that you're behaving two separate ways."

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam said Alyssa was referring to an off-camera conversation when Chris allegedly acted rude and disrespectful.

"Y'all didn't talk on-camera, so did you talk off-camera?" Keshia asked.

"We had multiple conversations off-camera, but when we have these conversations, they don't go anywhere because I'm asking her, 'Is there any chance this [marriage will work]?' And she says, 'No,' that she feels robbed by the experts, that she didn't get what she was looking for."

When asked for her opinion on how Alyssa treated Chris, Lindsey replied, "I feel like during this situation, Chris took the high road."

Lindsey insisted Chris was "putting his heart out there" for Alyssa.

"He was willing to accept [Alyssa] with where she's at, and she doesn't even want to give him the time of day," Lindsey said.

Lindsey suggested Chris spent more time with her and her husband Mark Maher than with Alyssa.

"Chris was, like, part of our relationship that whole honeymoon," she joked. "I think there was one night he actually crawled in bed with us. We had a thruple."

On Married at First Sight's latest episode, Katina Goode thought Alyssa simply wasn't attracted to Chris and that's why she didn't really want to get to know him or spend time with him.

"When I saw him, did I feel like that, like, physically wasn't what I would normally be attracted to? Yes," Alyssa admitted on last week's episode. "Did I feel like what I asked for from the experts was given to me? No."

"I would have rather them tell me, 'We don't have a match for you,' then match me with somebody who doesn't align with me."

However according to Chris, Alyssa never told him -- even still to this day -- that she's not attracted to him, and that's why he continued to have difficulty deciding if it was time to give up on their marriage.

During a previous episode of Afterparty, Keshia had bluntly asked Alyssa, "Are you attracted to Chris?"

And Alyssa had responded at the time, "He's not my type."

Alyssa didn't even want to move in with Chris once they left Puerto Rico and headed back to Boston, MA.

Alyssa envisioned Chris living in the apartment for two weeks and Alyssa receiving the place on her own for two weeks so she could still be a part of the experiment and spend time with the other Married at First Sight brides.

Chris, not willing to give up on his marriage after less than one week, told Alyssa that if she was "all out," then he would be as well, but if she was even "one percent in," he'd be "all in" for her going forward.

Alyssa, however, refused to give Chris a straight answer, knowing she didn't want her experience and time on the experiment to end.
