As Lamar Odom continues to fight for his health, the Kardashians are reportedly hoping this scare will change his life.

"He's still really, really sick," a source told Us Weekly. "There are a million things they're doing to him still. He's not doing well. He's talking a little bit, but not full sentences."

After suffering an apparent drug overdose October 13 in a Nevada brothel, Odom was in a coma for four days and people assumed he was going to die. Since waking up Friday morning, he's been experiencing physical and neurological hurdles with potential for permanent damage.

His estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, who has remained right by his side through it all, reportedly worried for quite some time this might happen to the former NBA star.

"This is exactly what she feared," a source close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told People. "Everyone is hoping that this will be a reality check for him and that he will make a change in his life and be the man he was created to be."

Kardashian, 31, is reportedly determined to help Odom, 35, going forward. He's currently recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he can be close to her family.

According to recent reports, Kardashian took a break from her boyfriend James Harden in order to focus her complete attention on Odom's progress.
