Jewel Kilcher and husband Ty Murray have welcomed their first child into the world.

The Platinum Hit judge and co-host and Murray celebrated the birth of their son, Kase Townes Murray, on Monday in Texas, People reported.
Kase was born weighing seven pounds and six ounces at 7PM.
"Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world," Jewel told People. "We are overcome with happiness -- it really is as great as everyone told us it would be -- better even!"
Kilcher, who also previously served as a judge and host on Nashville Star, initially attempted to keep her pregnancy under wraps after she discovered she was expecting on her first day of work for Platinum Hit.

"I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! It was so hard to keep it a secret," the singer and songwriter said.
Kilcher and Murray, who previously starred on CMT's Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge and competed on Dancing with the Stars' eighth season, got married in 2008 after a 10-year relationship.
