Survivor: Vanuatu's two-hour finale will air from 8-10PM ET/PT and be followed by the program's traditional hour-long live reunion special. As he has for the last several editions, Survivor host Jeff Probst will host the reunion show, which will take place at the network's Television City studios.

Survivor: Vanuatu will be the fourth-straight Survivor edition to feature a Sunday evening finale. The last Survivor edition to feature a Thursday evening three-hour finale broadcast was Survivor: Thailand on December 19, 2002. Reality television viewers looking for their normal Thursday 8PM reality fix on Thursday, December 16 won't have to look far however -- NBC has announced that following the same format that has proven successful for Survivor, it will broadcast a special three-hour finale and live reunion broadcast of Survivor producer Mark Burnett's The Apprentice 2 series from 8-11PM ET/PT

Despite finishing its ninth season, Survivor remains a ratings powerhouse, with Survivor: Vanuatu remaining the most watched reality program on television and ranking fifth among all programs in the 2004-2005 season-to-date Nielsen ratings.
