90 Day Fiance star Kalani Faagata has ripped the show's editing for how she and her father were portrayed the TLC reality series' Season 6 premiere.

90 Day Fiance's premiere showed Kalani, a 29-year-old from Orange County, CA, saying that her father may not approve of her son's father, Asuelu Pulaa, a 23-year-old from a fishing village in Samoa, whom she sparked a romance with in July 2016.

An introduction interview clip in the premiere featured Kalani appearing to state, "My dad did have a very hard life and I know he didn't want us to struggle the way that he did, so he wanted us with white guys. He wants me to be with someone who can provide for us."

However, Kalani, who was raised Mormon, claims she never made said the comments in the form that they were presented and 90 Day Fiance edited her interview comments together -- and she's furious.

"I've been receiving a lot of messages about the scene with my dad, so I'd like to publicly address that. First, the part where I 'say' my dad didn't want us to struggle so he wanted us with white guys, that is not what was said," Kalani recently wrote on Instagram.

"Rule of thumb when watching reality TV: if you don't see it being said, chances are it was spliced together. I don't care if I get 'in trouble' for saying that, that was bullsh-t to be put together in such a way, considering the current racial disparities in the world."

In another clip from the 90 Day Fiance sixth-season premiere, Kalani's father, who is from Samoa, was shown suggesting he didn't approve of Kalani being in a relationship with a Samoan man.

"You know how I feel about you being with my kind of people," Kalani's father told his daughter.

"I don't like how -- it was just the way I was born and raised. My biggest concern is he's only 23 years old and he's coming from an island to the United States," he added in an interview.

"It's a fast life here and a slow life there."

But Kalani addressed that scene on her social media as well given her family has received a lot of backlash.

"Secondly, after my dad says 'my kind of people,' he talks about not liking how he was raised. That's addressing men born and raised in Samoa, like my dad, not Samoan people as a whole," Kalani clarified.

"He says his biggest concern is Asuelu's age and the way life is in Samoa, once again, referring to men born and raised in Samoa. My dad can love his country and his people, and still not want certain cultural norms for his daughters. That's his prerogative as a father and as a man who grew up in a male-dominated country."

Kalani concluded in her Instagram post, "BUT if you still find yourself so utterly outraged after reading this, please make sure to click the link in my bio and donate to the people suffering from some of the cultural norms my dad was concerned about."

As comments poured in expressing support, Kalani began responding to her fans with thanks and gratitude.

"I don't care if they edit my shit to make me look a certain way -- I signed up for the show, but I won't be quiet if they do that to make my dad look bad," Kalani wrote to one fan in the comments section.

"Not today, or ever, Satan... My dad never cared who I was with, as long as they treated me well. That's how it's always been, that's how it'll always be."

Kalani's sister Kolini then joked that their father hated Kolini's white boyfriends as well.

"Seriously, if anything, he hates our boyfriends equally, no matter the race or age," the 90 Day Fiance star joked in reply to her sister.

"I think we have each only introduced two people because it's so uncomfortable."
