90 Day Fiance star Evelyn Cormier is going from a TLC reality series about love to an ABC reality singing competition!

The 90 Day Fiance fifth-season star auditioned for American Idol's upcoming seventeenth season and actually made the competition's Top 20 contestants, according to The Idol Pad.

The 20-year-old singer was reportedly only one of nine girls to make the cut for the Top 20 group, which also includes eleven guys.
Evelyn had revealed she'd auditioned for American Idol's upcoming season in December, teasing her followers to tune in and find out her fate when the season debuted in 2019.

"I auditioned for @americanidol Tune in to @abcnetwork on March 3rd to see what happened," she wrote in a December 15 posting on Instagram.
American Idol determined its Season 17 Top 20 finalists on January 29 at Disney's Aulani resort in Hawaii, The Idol Pad reported.
Evelyn was featured in a video that surfaced online on Wednesday showing American Idol cameras filming the Top 20's celebratory package on the beach in Hawaii after learning their fate.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest also appeared in the video announcing the Top 20 contestants before they ran into the ocean, cheering with excitement.
The Showcase Round performance that landed Evelyn in the Top 20 was a performance of Alice Merton's "No Roots," according to The Idol Pad.

Season 17 of American Idol will premiere with a two-hour episode on Sunday, March 3 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
The highs and lows of Evelyn's marriage to David Vazquez Zermeno were chronicled on 90 Day Fiance's fifth season.
Evelyn was 18 and from Claremont, NH, when she met David from Granada, Spain. They both came from religious Christian families and were saving themselves for marriage.

The couple met after David saw the Facebook page for Evelyn's band, and he decided to send her a message.

Despite David's objections to living in a small town, they got married in Boston in October 2017 and currently reside in Claremont together.
Evelyn found love and now her dreams of being a singer are coming true. She will be singing for American Idol judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie when the show returns for Season 17.
The first season of ABC's American Idol revival wrapped in May 2018, with Maddie Poppe being crowned the winner and Caleb Lee Hutchinson finishing in second place.
Although American Idol is returning with a second season on ABC, the show previously aired on Fox for 15 seasons from 2002 to 2016.
