The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston has revealed she and Greg Grippo have spoken in private about their breakup.

Greg, 28, professed his love to Katie and then unexpectedly dumped her after hometown dates on The Bachelorette's seventeenth season because Katie wouldn't give him the validation or reassurance he needed to feel ready to propose marriage in just a short week or two.

Greg was accused of gaslighting Katie during their tense breakup conversation, for which Greg has since apologized, and a source claiming to be Greg's friend for years recently told The Sun that the New Jersey native is a "schemer" and "fame seeker" with a big ego who is phony and manipulative to women.

Katie and Greg faced each other on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose and exchanged a few jabs, but the broadcast ended with each individual uncomfortably -- and seemingly insincerely -- wishing the other person all the best.

Although Katie is now happily engaged to her The Bachelorette winner Blake Moynes many fans have been wondering about the current status of Katie and Greg's relationship, or lack thereof.

"Greg and I have spoken privately and moved on," Katie, 30, tweeted on Thursday, suggesting she and the controversial bachelor have discussed their breakup since reuniting on After the Final Rose.

"You should too," she added.

Katie has also been defending her feelings for Blake, a Canadian wildlife specialist who popped the question to Katie after she nearly quit her season over Greg's unexpected departure.

When one Twitter user recently accused Katie of having "hurt" feelings over her The Bachelorette experience, Katie replied, "Nah someone is happily engaged," along a diamond-ring emoji, according to Us Weekly.

The troll also lashed out at Katie for allegedly bullying, harassing and "publicly ripping" Greg "to shreds" when he was just trying to express his real feelings on The Bachelorette.

The hater added that Katie "does not represent a trustworthy person, nor a person there for the right reasons."

Late last month, Katie also snapped at an Instagram user who had claimed the Washington native was "still obsessing over" her exes.

Katie fired back to the message, "Imagine being secure enough in your relationship and still supportive of a group of men who went through something no one else will understand."

And Katie previously told Us that she has felt the need to speak her truth in order to have total closure walking away from The Bachelorette process.

"And really that's what Greg and I both were able to do," she previously told the magazine.

"And we're ready to just close that door forever and move forward. You can be happy and in love in your relationship, but still be upset with how someone treated you in the past and you want to speak on it."

Greg has emerged as a very polarizing The Bachelorette suitor since Season 17 wrapped on TV, but rumors have been swirling he may have been chosen as the next The Bachelor star for Season 26 in early January 2022.

Meanwhile, Katie recently visited Blake's hometown in Toronto, Canada and moved into a new apartment in San Diego, CA.

Katie and Blake have told multiple press outlets they are in no rush to wed and intend to travel together and learn more about each other's backgrounds, interests, hobbies and hometowns before deciding on a city in which to settle down as a couple.
