The Bachelorette alum Ali Fedotowsky has shared an "unsettling" update on her husband Kevin Manno's thyroid cancer.

Ali announced that Kevin, 42, was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in January 2025 after doctors found two "malignant spots" on the right side and he appeared to have cancer "in one lymph node."

Kevin subsequently had surgery in February 2025 to remove the "very treatable" cancer and half of his thyroid, allowing doctors to call him "cancer-free."

But on Friday, January 23, Ali revealed in a series of Instagram posts that Kevin had "a follow up ultrasound recently because only half his thyroid was taken out when he had the cancer removed."

The Bachelorette alum revealed that the new ultrasound found "a spot that we need to watch" going forward.

Ali admitted the news "is definitely unsettling."

"Because 'a spot that we needed to watch' is how we found his thyroid cancer the first time," Ali explained.

Kevin's cancer was initially found after he had a full-body scan in 2024 that showed two spots on his thyroid.

Doctors apparently didn't want to jump to conclusions, and so they asked him to return one year later for an ultrasound.

The ultrasound showed that one spot had "doubled in size," and a biopsy later confirmed the cancer.

Ali shared on Instagram in January 2025, "We found out recently that @kevinmanno has Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Thankfully it's a very treatable cancer. He has 2 malignant spots on his right side and it appears it is also in one lymph node, but we won't know for sure until his surgery."

She continued, "If the surgeon gets in there and determines the whole [thyroid] has to be removed regardless, we will of course move forward with that. But going into the surgery, he has a choice to be aggressive or leave half if possible."

Shortly afterward, Ali addressed fans' questions about how Kevin's thyroid cancer was found.

"The crazy thing is he had absolutely ZERO symptoms and his blood work came back perfect," Ali wrote in the caption.

In the video that accompanied Ali's message, she and Kevin celebrated the early detection of Kevin's cancer, and they begged their followers to be vigilant and undergo testing, even if there are no visible lumps or bumps.

In February 2025, Ali posted a photo of Kevin in the hospital before he went under the knife.

"Kevin is headed into surgery. And in true @kevinmanno fashion he is making me and everyone around him laugh. We feel all of your love. Thank you for it️. You've got this @kevinmanno," she captioned the photo.

Two weeks later, Ali and Kevin shared how Kevin's pathology report had come back negative and Kevin was "officially" cancer-free.
