The Bachelor alum Maria Georgas has denied rumors her father Nick Georgas took a jab at Joey Graziadei's runner-up Daisy Kent.

Nick appeared on a recent episode of the "BachMakers" podcast, and he was asked about Maria having been in talks to potentially star on The Bachelorette's upcoming 21st season.

"I'm not going to say too much about The Bachelorette," Nick replied.

"You know, I don't think anybody should really say too much about The Bachelorette, because that's not fair to [Jenn Tran]. Jenn is a great person and it's her show."

Nick therefore suggested that it's not polite for women from Joey's cast to reveal they had been offered The Bachelorette role and turned it down.

"For anybody to come out and say right now, 'I was asked and I said no,' to me, it's like, I like to make a donation and I make the donation anonymous," Nick said. "So nobody should say, 'I got asked and I said no.'"

A TikTok user commented on a clip of the podcast, "I feel like he's shading Daisy now," referring to how Daisy recently announced she had turned down The Bachelorette two weeks before The Bachelor: After the Final Rose aired on ABC on March 25 because she didn't feel ready for the exhausting journey.

Maria, in support of her father, responded to the comment, "I can assure you my dad has not seen any interviews [with] Daisy."

Maria added, "Nothing to do with anyone else! Just his take on the questions he's being asked."

Maria also added a red heart emoji to her answer, implying that she wasn't angry or bothered by the comment.

Bachelor Nation has assumed that Maria, Daisy, Jenn, and Rachel Nance were all in talks to star on The Bachelorette, which is currently filming.

But Bachelor Nation was quite taken with the outgoing and charismatic Maria as well as Daisy, who had suffered from undiagnosed Lyme disease for years and sought an aggressive treatment in Germany.

Daisy, who began losing her hearing as a teenage, also had a cochlear implant in Spring 2023, and she's been learning how to effectively hear and communicate ever since.

On The Bachelor: After the Final Rose late last month, Daisy announced how she wasn't interested in taking on The Bachelorette role because she's finally happy and healthy in her life and would therefore like to focus on herself and spend quality time with family and friends.

Many fans assumed ABC ultimately decided to give the position to Jenn only because Daisy didn't want to do it, which would potentially make Jenn feel like a backup option.

Daisy dished more about The Bachelorette opportunity during the April 4 episode of "The Viall Files" podcast.

"I was very open and honest about it, and very transparent, that I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it," Daisy told Season 21 The Bachelor star Nick Viall.

"[Once I said no], they were all super nice and respectful. They understood all of my reasons, too, and they still want to see me grow and do other things. They said, 'If we can help you in any way, we want to.'"

Nick, however, wasn't buying that Daisy's not ready to date again given The Bachelor had wrapped filming in November 2023.

"My health is an aspect of it. I knew, as the lead, it's a lot on you, not only emotionally but physically too," Daisy explained.

"You're up super late, and it's nonstop. I talked to a lot of past leads when [ABC] was in talks with me, and I just knew from a health point, it would be a lot."

Daisy went on to clarify, "It's also not that I'm not ready to date; it's that I wasn't ready for that specific thing."

"I think coming off the show and doing the show," she continued, "I didn't realize how much of kind of a big thing it is, if that makes sense. I think right now, I just want to live and be happy. I always want to jump at opportunities, but I think this specific opportunity wasn't right for me right now."

Daisy said she was scared of "not getting enough sleep" during The Bachelorette process and essentially struggling through the whole thing.

"I knew they would take care of me, and they made that very evident that they would," Daisy revealed.

"But also, the fact you're hurting other people... I mean, there's usually what -- around 30 people? I can't send everyone home at once, you know what I mean? What if I didn't like them? I don't think I could actually sit there and kiss somebody [I didn't like]."

Nick joked, from experience, that "it's brutal," and then Daisy shared how she definitely "thought really long and hard" about the opportunity before passing on it.

"A lot of it, it wasn't an easy decision. I was wondering after it got announced, how I would feel, and if I'd be like, 'Oh, I wish I would've done it.' But I'm so happy right now that I didn't," Daisy admitted.

"So it feels good. I know I made the right decision for me."

Nick pointed out how many contestants wouldn't have "the guts or the emotional maturity" to turn down an offer like that.

"I think I know when things are getting too much and when it would be too much for me," Daisy explained.

Since Daisy repeatedly said she's not ready for The Bachelorette "right now," Nick asked the Minnesota native if she'd be open to starring on The Bachelorette in 2025 or later -- or if she feels content with letting that go away.

"Right now, I'm content with letting that go away, and I know most people might not understand that," Daisy said. "I think if you were to ask me, even a year ago, 'Do you think this would be a possibility?' I would be like, 'Oh my gosh, 100 percent I'll do it.'"

Daisy also said during a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast that she probably won't be up for filming Bachelor in Paradise's tenth season this year either.

Maria, meanwhile, hasn't spoken out about her The Bachelorette talks. It's unclear whether Maria was actually offered The Bachelorette role -- and she turned it down -- or if she was just up for consideration.
