The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr. did, in fact, make an appearance on Becca Kufrin's The Bachelorette season, but their reunion was edited out of the finale broadcast.

Becca and Arie both previously teased a conversation would unfold on The Bachelorette between the exes following their messy and highly-publicized split earlier this year, but as viewers saw, no such footage aired on TV.

Well, according to the pro racing driver -- who is still engaged to his The Bachelor runner-up, Lauren Burnham -- he and Lauren expected to make an appearance in the final episode of Season 14.

"Lauren and I flew to the Maldives at The Bachelor and Becca's request. It's a conversation that unfortunately won't be shown but it was really positive for all of us," Arie captioned a photo Monday night on Instagram of Lauren and himself sitting by the ocean.

Arie seemed to suggest he and Lauren viewed the free trip to the beautiful tropical location as an imposition of sorts.

"You can imagine this trip could have been very difficult for Lauren but she has supported and stood by me in all of this... I thank and love her everyday because of that," Arie continued in his post.

"We wish Becca all the happiness in the world and can't wait to see how tonight goes!"

Becca revealed in her People blog back in late May that Arie was going to come back into her life "in the most unexpected way" on the show and the interaction had changed both of their lives "forever."

The 28-year-old Minnesota publicist later elaborated to Entertainment Tonight, "He will show up, yes. We do have a conversation and you'll just have to see that unfold."

"At that point it wasn't emotional, it was just two adults sitting down, wishing each other the best and talking through our experiences," she noted.

"That was our last conversation we've had. I knew that would probably be the last time we had a conversation, and I wish him and [Lauren Burnham] the best."

Arie and Lauren are currently planning a January 2019 wedding in Hawaii. Arie popped the question to Lauren in March on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose for Season 22, which aired less than two months after Arie crushed Becca's heart on-camera and called off their engagement.

Becca's emotional breakdown during her split with Arie and the pain she had to endure from the blindside led to her starring on The Bachelorette.

Becca's The Bachelorette edition just concluded Monday night on ABC with her winner, Garrett Yrigoyen, proposing marriage to her. Becca and Garrett are now happily engaged and planning to move in together soon.
