The Bachelor alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. is reaching out to Colton Underwood with some advice ahead of the show's Season 23 finale.

The 38-year-old pro racing driver and real estate agent posted a photo Monday on Instagram of his engagement to Lauren Burnham, the runner-up of Season 22 who is now his pregnant wife.

Arie told Colton, 27, to trust his gut and follow his heart regardless of what people might say.
"I truly believe life rewards you when you follow your own path," Arie captioned the image.

"Not paved by others but paved by your belief in what's right for you. I know many of you have your own opinions but be kind and open to the choices and decisions of the individuals that put their hearts on display."
Arie also wished the charity founder and former pro athlete good luck, adding, "As @laureneburnham would say #lovewins."
Arie faced immense backlash following his own The Bachelor stint due to his decision to dump his fiancee Becca Kufrin about a month after filming the finale -- which aired in March 2018 -- for a shot at reconciling with Lauren, the woman he had dumped at the Final Rose Ceremony but claimed to truly be in love with.
Although it was an unpopular and highly-criticized decision, Arie claims to have made the right one.
After breaking Becca's heart during what was supposed to be a "happy couple visit" on national television, Arie begged Lauren to take him back, and she opted to give him a second chance.

Arie and Lauren, 28, just got married in Hawaii in January 2019 and are expecting their first child.

Arie arguably became the most hated The Bachelor star of all time, but then Becca, 28, went on to star on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season in Spring 2018.
Becca is now engaged to her season's winner, Garrett Yrigoyen, and Arie believes their journeys on the franchise ended just how they should have.
The end of Colton's The Bachelor edition is expected to be emotional and dramatic after he got his heart broken by the woman he fell in love with, Cassie Randolph, and threatened to quit production.

Colton now must decide whether to settle for Hannah Godwin or Tayshia Adams, or take another course of action.
The Bachelor's Season 23 finale is set to air as a live, two-night event on Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12 at 8PM ET/PT both nights on ABC.
