The Amazing Race and Tom Bergeron both walked away with awards during last night's live broadcast of the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

The Amazing Race claimed Outstanding Reality-Competition Program for the second year in a row, while the Dancing with the Stars host took home the Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program award for the first time.
The Amazing Race has now won the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program award nine times of the 10 years since its creation in 2003. The Amazing Race was on a seven-year Emmy winning streak until Top Chef ended it in 2010, but the series regained the honor last year during the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony.
Last night, The Amazing Race defeated Top Chef, Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, and The Voice in the category.
"Wow, here we go. Well, I thank the Academy, thank you CBS -- [CEO] Les Moonves, [president] Nina Tessler and [CBS reality chief] Jennifer Bresnan. Thank you to all the phenomenal people who work for us around the world," The Amazing Race executive producer Bertram van Munster said as he accepted the award.

"It's just an extraordinary accomplishment. All these people that work with us all the time, there's over 2000 people, some of them have never seen a television camera. So it's not that easy to necessarily work with all of them. I want to thank all these people for it and the extraordinary crew that we have here -- [host Phil Keoghan], of course, who is just our hero now. Thank you very much!"
As for the Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program award, Bergeron defeated Keoghan, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, Off Their Rockers host Betty White, and So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley.
This marked the fifth year the award was presented. Survivor host Jeff Probst had won the category all four prior years but, in a surprise, wasn't even nominated this time year.
"Wow, thank you. This is particularly satisfying since Betty White always kicks my ass in my mixed martial arts class. It's emasculating. That's all I'm going to say to you. I want to thank Jeff Probst for not being nominated. That helped," joked Bergeron in his acceptance speech.
"I want to thank my family, most of them know who they are. I especially want to thank [executive producer] Conrad Green and everybody at Dancing with the Stars. It is a pleasure and a privilege to be part of that team. And given that our All-Star season premieres tomorrow, this is the icing on a very sweet cake. Thank you very much!"
