Simon Cowell has confirmed he's going to be a parent, and he's apparently looking forward to it.

"I'm proud to be a dad," the 53-year-old The X Factor creator and judge told BBC News on Tuesday at the world premiere of One Direction's new movie in London.
"Things are changing in my life right now, for the better."
New York socialite Lauren Silverman, 36, is pregnant with Cowell's child as a result of an "adulterous affair" that ended her marriage to "estranged" husband Andrew Silverman, who was Cowell's former close friend. Andrew filed for divorce from Lauren on July 15, citing adultery and naming Cowell a co-respondent.
According to a previous New York Daily News report, Cowell felt blindsided and "tricked" by the news he and Lauren are expecting a child together, as he only found out about the baby on July 10.

Since then, Lauren and Andrew have reportedly reached a divorce settlement out of court but neither Lauren or Cowell have gone public with any information regarding the pregnancy or their relationship -- until now.
"It's something I hadn't thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it," Cowell told BBC News. "[Lauren]'s a very special girl."
When asked whether the couple has a boy or girl on the way, Cowell was dismissive.
"Can't say," Cowell noted with a smile.
