Heather and the FUBU founder/CEO got engaged while taping Shark Tank on Thursday, according to Us Weekly. John popped the question with a custom-designed 9.5-carat emerald-cut diamond ring.

John, 47, admitted he was "a little nervous" about the big moment but had been planning to propose to Taras for over two years now. She is the mother of his six-month-old daughter Minka.

"I had to create a speech," John told Us. "I knew a lot of people were looking at me. You know, you never know how someone is going to react, of course. She could always say no, and that's the first time that I've been on the carpet pitching somebody! So, a little nerve-racking, of course."

John revealed the proposal came as a total surprise to Taras and she "choked up" a little bit.

"But she said yes pretty quickly!" John gushed. "My daughter was sitting in her lap, so I was looking at my beautiful daughter at the same time."

John reportedly told Taras in his speech that God has given him everything he needs and he is "rich with love." His favorite thing about his new fiancee is her "calm demeanor."

John and Taras are now looking forward to "more years of happiness," according to Us.

Shark Tank returns to ABC on Friday, September 23 at 9PM ET/PT.
