Project Runway producers still reportedly plan on filming the show's sixth-season finale at February's New York Fashion Week, however the identities of the designers who make it that far in the competition will apparently be kept secret.

While previous Project Runway finales have featured contestants introducing their own clothing lines at Fashion Week, the show's upcoming sixth season is "expected to keep the creators of each fashion piece on the runway a secret," sources told The New York Post in a Tuesday report.

In order to prevent the premature disclosure of a season's finalists, Project Runway's finale runway shows have traditionally included "decoy" collection presentations from any designer that has yet to be eliminated in broadcasts of the show's already-filmed episodes, not just the finale's actual finalists.

That apparently wasn't enough this time around, as the reason for keeping the sixth-season finale contestant identities a secret is "to preserve some surprise when - and if - the show airs," sources told The Post.

Although an ongoing lawsuit has stopped Lifetime from proceeding with its previous plan to premiere Project Runway's sixth season this month, mentor Tim Gunn recently confirmed that the show's producers were still planning to tape the finale at New York Fashion Week on February 20.

While Project Runway has booked three hours in New York Fashion Week's main tent in Bryant Park on the event's final day to film the finale episode, The Post reported the guest list for the show is not expected to be finalized until early next month.

NBC Universal -- the parent company of Bravo, the cable network that aired Project Runway's first five seasons -- sued the show's The Weinstein Company production company last April.

NBCU claims they were not given a contractually-mandated chance to match Lifetime's offer before the production company inked a deal to move the show to the women's network beginning with its sixth season. The case is currently stuck in litigation.
