Peter's The Bachelor season began filming in September, and cameras stopped rolling in November.

"I went into the experience hoping for the best," Peter told People in a recent interview. "And where I am now, I couldn't be happier."

The show is set to premiere with a special three-hour event on Monday, January 6 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, when Peter will be shown meeting 30 beautiful bachelorettes.

"There were a lot of emotions I definitely had to process moving on from The Bachelorette and what happened to me in [my] relationship [with Hannah Brown]," Peter explained, adding there was also "no shortage of emotion" on his own season.

"The experience was beautiful, but it was hard too."

Since Peter managed to fall in love with Hannah on The Bachelorette's fifteenth season, however, he said before filming began he had "all the faith in the world" the process would work for him again.

If Peter truly "couldn't be happier" at the moment, he may be hinting he found love or even left the show with a fiancee.

But last week, The Bachelor host Chris Harrison teased to Entertainment Tonight that Peter's journey on Season 24 was "a wild ride."

"I was trying to think of a season I could go back and reference. It's kind of like a Ben Higgins type of season, where it's a guy who really wears his heart and his emotions on his sleeve," Chris shared.

As fans probably recall, Ben fell in love with both Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher on The Bachelor's 20th season in 2016, and he told both women how he felt before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Ben ultimately chose Lauren and proposed marriage to her, leaving JoJo devastated and blindsided because Ben had made her feel like they were going to be together. Lauren later had trouble getting over Ben's highly-publicized relationship and breakup with JoJo. (They've since split).

Chris elaborated Peter was "really good at compartmentalizing" relationships, "but almost too much so."

"Peter has a tough time kind of just like cutting the cord with people, and things kind of linger and stuff, and that makes it kind of difficult," Chris explained.

"As he kicks the can down the road, you meet some emotional roadblocks and things get pretty tough down the road... [We] have some heart-to-hearts."
