My Dad is Better Than Your Dad will be taking over the time period that is currently occupied by NBC's American Gladiators revival, which will conclude its Winter 2008 broadcast run with a special two-hour broadcast on Sunday, February 17 at 7PM ET/PT.

"If you love the competitive energy of American Gladiators and the outrageous challenges of Fear Factor, you'll love My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad," said Craig Plestis, NBC's head of reality programming.

Helmed by former MTV Sports host and creator Dan Cortese, each one-hour episode of My Dad is Better Than Your Dad will follow a patriarch as he leads his respective son or daughter through a series of physical and mental challenges and stunts for the opportunity to win money and additional prizes that will be up for grabs.

NBC ordered My Dad is Better Than Your Dad last September -- a month after the network ordered Amne$ia, another new Burnett game show that will challenge contestants' memories for the chance to win cash and prizes.

Amne$ia is currently scheduled to premiere Friday, February 22 at 9PM ET/PT before moving to its regular Fridays at 8PM ET/PT time slot on February 29.

NBC's The Baby Borrowers, a new reality series that will follow five young couples as they're thrust into adulthood, was originally scheduled to premiere in My Dad is Better Than Your Dad's time period on Monday, February 18 at 8PM ET/PT. However NBC has bumped The Baby Borrower's debut to a later date that has yet-to-be-announced.

My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad was created by Jon Hotchkiss and is a production of Reveille, Mark Burnett Productions and Hotchkiss Industries. Burnett, Mark Koops, Howard T. Owens, Mike Nichols and Hotchkiss serve as executive producers.
