Mikayla Matthews has confirmed she has no plans to return to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives following Taylor Frankie Paul's apparent exit from the Hulu reality series.

After Taylor announced Monday, September 21 that she's leaving the show, Mikayla responded to fans who questioned whether the development might prompt her to resume filming.
"To answer your question... No, I will not be coming back," Mikayla, 26, wrote alongside a mirror selfie posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday.
"Everyone has to do what's best for them, and I was the only one who chose to leave the show due to MANY reasons and, of course, the recent news a couple weeks ago."
Mikayla said she had repeatedly raised her concerns with the appropriate people but remained troubled by both an individual's conduct and how the situation was subsequently handled.

"[I] went out of my way over and over again to try to address them," Mikayla continued in her upload.
"There are so many things wrong with this situation. Because of one person's actions but also because of the way everything was handled after."
She added, "Those concerns haven't changed and neither has my decision right now. Don't know what the future holds, but I think we can collectively agree that a lot of changes need to be made."
Mikayla first announced her departure from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on September 14, citing multiple concerns -- including Taylor's return for Season 6 amid ongoing custody disputes with her former partners Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul.
Taylor, 32, shares two-year-old son Ever with Dakota as well as nine-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with Tate.

Mikayla had explained last week that she didn't want to continue "enabling" toxic behavior or be associated with abuse of any kind.
After Mikayla released her statement, her Mormon Wives co-stars Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter hinted that they were also considering quitting the show.
Seemingly in response to the backlash over her participation, Taylor took to Instagram on September 21 and wrote, "My gratitude goes to all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return. However I don't desire to move forward like this."
Taylor said she was "willing to be removed" from the show, before claiming, "Some of the girls know what I've been through and then to turn and collectively pile on with their 'statements' knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months on top of what I've endured."
She elaborated, "Almost the entire cast plus some, going at me....laughing about my kids is disgusting. I bit my tongue there."

Taylor alleged that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' production team, not her fellow #MomTok creators, were the people who checked on her over the last six months amid her legal troubles.
"It's to the point of bullying for months now... It's a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue, because I've almost convinced myself I'm deserving of all this pain and to a certain degree absolutely this is consequences of my actions," she complained.
"My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough...I'm just relieved to be out."
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives halted production on Season 5 in March after Taylor and Dakota had accused each other of domestic violence and later filed dueling restraining orders.
When Mormon Wives resumed filming, Taylor only filmed the intro credits and had limited involvement in the show, which premiered its fifth season earlier this month.

With fans already looking forward to Season 6 on Hulu, Taylor had teased last week that her role on the show was going to continue because she wanted to share her truth and hopefully help people in similar situations.
However, Taylor apparently had a change of heart about starring on the show, which is currently filming its sixth season.
Around the same time The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives paused production on Season 5, a 2023 video of Taylor assaulting Dakota leaked online and prompted ABC to cancel Taylor's The Bachelorette season.
There has been tension amongst The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast for months. Taylor recently apologized for belittling her co-stars' success and achievements.
