Married at First Sight star Jamie Thompson says he doesn't take wife Elizabeth Bice too seriously when she complains about their marriage, and can't envision her not being in his life anymore.

During Married at First Sight: Unfiltered's September 4 episode, Thompson watched back a Season 9 clip in which Elizabeth was shown venting about her tumultuous relationship to her female co-stars during a couples' retreat.

"This cannot be the rest of my life," Elizabeth said in the clip.
When Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked Thompson how Elizabeth's comment made him feel, he smiled and took it in stride.

"It seems pretty dramatic," Thompson said with a smile.
"And I'm just like, 'Okay,' like, 'You're a part of this [drama] too lady! This is not some one-way exchange. This is a two-way street here.'"
After Otis laughed, she pointed out, "This is why you guys are going to be just fine."
Otis then asked Thompson whether he could imagine Elizabeth being in his life forever.
"I think so. I mean, we've definitely had our struggles, especially in the past week or so, but, I don't know. I can't imagine her not being in my life," Thompson gushed.

Thompson's Married at First Sight co-star Deonna McNeill also appeared on the Unfiltered broadcast.
"Deonna, can you imagine [your husband Greg Okotie] being your spouse for life?" Otis asked while the group was still on topic.
"Everything happens for a reason, and I wouldn't have been selected if, in my mind, he wasn't The One," Deonna shared.

Thompson and Elizabeth have been shown getting into some explosive and volatile fights on Married at First Sight's ninth season, only to make up shortly afterwards and claim they're in love.

Elizabeth has accused Thompson of wanting to make love too often and being a "sexaholic," while Thompson has vented about how his wife claims she's a sexual creature only to prove otherwise, leaving him feeling rejected and confused.
Elizabeth and Thompson have also both been guilty of using their words as weapons.
For instance, Thompson once called Elizabeth "a materialistic c-nt," and they've both threatened each other with divorce during arguments.
Elizabeth has partly blamed the couple's extreme highs and lows on being passionate people. Pastor Cal even pointed out during a previous Unfiltered episode that Thompson and Elizabeth's fights show they truly care about one another.
Thompson and Elizabeth must to decide whether they'd like to stay married or get divorced one and for all when Married at First Sight's next episode airs Wednesday, September 11 on Lifetime.

In addition to Thompson, Elizabeth, Deonna and Greg, the following two Married at First Sight couples will have to reach the same conclusion on Decision Day: Amber Bowles and Matthew Gwynne as well as Iris Caldwell and Keith Manley.
