Married at First Sight star AJ Vollmoeller apparently believes Luke Cuccurullo gave up on his marriage to Kate Sisk early in the seven-week experiment.

During a Tuesday night appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered hosted by Jamie Otis, AJ watched a clip of Luke bailing on his wife on the day of their one-month anniversary.

Instead of planning something sweet for Kate or at least spending time with her, Luke took off early in the morning to spend the day with his friends, and Kate was left bawling her eyes out in bed.

"It's just so painful to watch. It really is," Jamie noted.

Jamie then asked AJ how he would feel if his spouse decided to hang out with her friends instead of celebrating their one-month anniversary together.

"I would have been devastated," AJ admitted. "I feel like [Luke] has already checked out from the experiment and from [Kate] and from the marriage."

AJ was also shocked Luke took off so early in the morning to seemingly avoid Kate entirely.

"One-month anniversary, from what I understand, that was 8AM. Who goes to hang out with their friends at 8AM?! My friends would be like, 'I'm still sleeping,'" AJ reasoned.

AJ -- who exchanged vows with Stephanie Sersen for the show -- told Jamie that he felt Luke used his friends "as an exit excuse."

"To me... that just shows he has zero commitment to the process, to the experiment, to the show, to Kate, to anything except himself," AJ vented.

As for Kate, on the other hand, AJ explained on Unfiltered, "I think she's committed to marriage as a whole, whether it was to Luke or someone else. I feel like she's very committed to the actual sanctity of marriage and the experiment itself and is trying to hold on."

Jamie therefore asked AJ how he would react had he married a woman who simply didn't like him and treated him poorly.

(As Married at First Sight viewers previously saw, Luke confessed to Kate he wasn't physically attracted to her, and he called their first post-wedding kiss "repulsive.")

"My initial reaction is, 'Kick her to the curb and move on with your life.' But in all honesty, everybody wants validation given from people you don't feel you need it from," AJ shared.

"If someone tells you they are not attracted to you, you don't want to be with that person necessarily but you still want their approval or to know at least you look good just to make yourself feel better."

AJ went on to explain that he'd probably seek validation for the sake of his own confidence and pride.

"It doesn't turn into appeasing that person; it turns into self-reflection and you're wanting it just to make yourself feel better -- and then you kick them to the curb," AJ said.

AJ was also joined by fellow Married at First Sight co-star Keith Dewar, who tied the knot with Kristine Killingsworth for the Lifetime reality show's eighth season.

When asked how he would act if his wife behaved similar to Luke, Keith yelled out, "I'm leaving!"

"I would have left and kept fishing. I'm not going to get abused verbally," Keith told Jamie on Unfiltered.

"Like me and Kristine, we go at it a lot, but we understand, 'Hey, don't cross that line and let's have some respect for each other.' We pick at each other, that's what we do, but I'm not going to disrespect my wife -- period, point blank."

In addition to Kate and Luke, AJ and Stephanie, and Keith and Kristine, Married at First Sight's currently-airing eighth season also stars Jasmine McGriff and Will Guess.
