Lifetime has revealed the identities of the eight singles based in Philadelphia, PA, who will appear on Season 8 of Married at First Sight when it premieres Tuesday, January 1 at 9PM ET/PT with a special two-hour premiere. Prior to the series' premiere, Lifetime will also air a Matchmaking Special at 8PM ET/PT.

Each of the four couples will exchange names -- and vows -- when they meet for the first time at the altar.

After getting married and saying, "I do," each pair will enjoy a wedding reception followed by the wedding night, embark on a honeymoon, move in together, and then navigate the joys and struggles of daily life together for what is typically an eight-week experiment.

Married at First Sight's four new couples are AJ Vollmoeller, 37, and Stephanie Sersen, 35; Will Guess, 37, and Jasmine McGriff, 29; Luke Cuccurullo, 30, and Kate Sisk, 27; and Keith Dewar, 29, and Kristine Killingsworth, 28.

The couples were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Jessica Griffin, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Pastor Calvin Roberson based on compatibility, goals, hobbies, religion, views of marriage and gender roles, and much more.

Dr. Jessica, Dr. Pepper and Pastor Cal will once again mentor and counsel the couples along the way as they adjust to married life.

The premiere date for Season 8 of Married at First Sight was announced last week.

An October promo had teased Married at First Sight's eighth season will be the "biggest season" yet, but did not provide any explanation for the billing -- leaving viewers to speculate if Season 8's marriage experiment would last longer than the usual eight-week duration, or could feature more than three couples.

Married at First Sight had announced casting for the new season was underway in April 2018, with producers looking for courageous singles from Philadelphia to participate in the extreme social experiment.

The Married at First Sight application had asked applicants if they would be available for interviews in July, and postings that the season was filming in the Philadelphia area had surfaced on social media this fall.
