Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson says Brett Lindsey must break down his walls and be vulnerable if his marriage to Olivia is going to last long on Season 11 of the Lifetime reality series.

Olivia, a 30-year-old nurse from Bossier City, LA, and Brett, a 35-year-old with a career in information technology from Gretna, LA, were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson to wed on Season 11 of the Lifetime reality series.

During the September 16 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Pastor Cal and Olivia watched back a Season 11 clip in which she and Brett attempted to bond during a swamp boat ride through the Louisiana swamp.

"I think Brett is really starting to enjoy our time in the swamp," Olivia said in the clip of the couple's date, before Brett asked her what she'd like their next outing to be.

On Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight, asked
Pastor Cal whether he thought Brett and Olivia were a good match after watching how the pair meshed together about three weeks into the experiment.

"There's still some work that needs to be done," Pastor Cal noted. "But I still believe that they can be a successful match."

Pastor Cal continued, "But Olivia is just a stellar person and I'm hoping that Brett can break through the walls and those barriers that are keeping him from being the kind of vulnerable male that she needs."

Pastor Cal, however, predicted Brett would eventually come around and show more of his layers.

"But I think that they can get there. Of course I'm an optimistic person [though]," Pastor Cal said with a laugh. "I always believe in love, so."

Considering Olivia and Brett discovered major differences between them during their first few weeks of marriage and Olivia even questioned why they were matched to begin with, Jamie asked Olivia what was keeping her going in the marriage.

"You know, I think there are times when Brett is really thoughtful. There are little moments where I feel he is really trying," Olivia shared.

"He does have good qualities, you know, but I just think he has a hard time showing them and just really being true to who he is."

"Absolutely," Pastor Cal agreed.

Jamie asked Olivia whether she felt more of a connection with Brett through doing activities together rather than just having conversations with each other.

"I think when Brett and I are doing activities, he's a little more vulnerable and shows a little bit more of who he is in that moment rather than just sitting down and having these serious conversations," Olivia explained.

"So it is refreshing to go and do things and date each other to try to get to that next level in our marriage.

On how she felt after going on the swamp boat with Brett specifically, Olivia said, "I think the date was fun, Captain Dave was amazing."

"We got to learn a lot about alligators and swamps and the region of New Orleans," she added, "so it was a good history lesson I think Brett really enjoyed."

Olivia's Married at First Sight co-star Amani joined her on Unfiltered and shared whether she or her husband Woody Randall enjoys going out and doing activities more than the other.

"No, I don't think so," Amani said at first. "Well, yeah, I'd say he likes to go out more than me, but not, like, significantly."

But Olivia said she believes Amani and Woody are on "the same level" when it comes to socializing.

Olivia admitted during a recent episode of Married at First Sight that she wasn't feeling butterflies for Brett weeks into her marriage, and she confessed during the Unfiltered broadcast that Brett's sarcasm annoyed her and she wasn't sure how honest he truly was in their conversations.

The main issue in Brett and Olivia's relationship seemed to be that Brett enjoys staying at his home with his cats and saving money for retirement while Olivia wants to go on adventures and enjoys the finer things in life.

Olivia acknowledged marriage just wasn't coming easy for the couple, so she thought it would be a good idea to try to bond with Brett through inexpensive outings, such as the swamp boat ride.

"We're making large strides in the small things that we do, and that's making me optimistic about our future together," Olivia noted in a recent episode.

But Olivia's marriage optimism faltered when she and Brett went to a bar to play trivia with Olivia's friends one night.

Olivia believed Brett was full of random knowledge, but he didn't seem to know the answers to any of the questions. Brett didn't really participate or help out, and the cameras caught him seemingly bored and yawning at one point.

"The fact Brett's not trying makes me feel like he doesn't care," Olivia griped, adding that Brett wasn't trying to connect with her friends.

In addition to Olivia, Brett, Amani and Woody, Married at First Sight's eleventh season also stars Henry Rodriguez, Christina, Amelia Fatsi, Bennett Kirschner, Miles Williams, and Karen Landry.

Married at First Sight currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
