Disney+ and Hulu are attempting to set a new Guinness World Record by constructing a 25.6-foot tall gingerbread house based on the McCallister house in Home Alone.

The effort is part of a series of events the streaming services are hosting to celebrate the Christmas movie's 35th anniversary.

Once completed, the gingerbread house will be 58 feet long and 42 feet wide and will be constructed using 5,700 pounds of flour and more than 4,200 eggs. There will be 4,400 gingerbread brick tiles and 800 roof tiles held together with 20 gallons of edible glue and 20 pounds of fondant.

Organizers are planning to construct the gingerbread house in Los Angeles and open it up to the public for viewing -- weather dependent -- on Dec. 18 and 19.

Disney+ and Hulu are also opening up Little Nero's Prince St. Pizza pop-up locations in Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. Open Dec. 10-17, the shops will feature pizza boxes, menus, collectible packaging and even "a lovely cheese pizza" inspired by Kevin's favorite pizza order in the movies.

"Disney+ is excited to celebrate a movie that's become such a holiday staple for families everywhere, mine included," said Zack Jerome, vice president of brand and marketing strategy at Disney+.

"We can't wait to bring elements from the film into the real world so people can experience them up close, and if they share my enthusiasm, finally order 'a lovely cheese pizza just for me' from Little Nero's."

Home Alone was released in theaters in 1990, starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy accidentally left at home by himself while his family flies to France for Christmas vacation. The film also stars Catherine O'Hara, John Heard, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Kieran Culkin and John Candy.

The Christmas classic inspired five more sequels, all of which are streaming on Disney+.
