Fox seems unable to let go of The Simple Life. In the latest announcement, a previously-unaired episode of the show (called "The Lost Episode"), featuring fish-out-of-water stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie getting jobs with a taxidermist, will be aired on Fox this coming Monday, January 26 at 8:30 PM ET/PT -- immediately before the second installment of My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance.

In the episode, the weight of Arkansas life grows heavy on Paris' shoulders and she gets desperately homesick. From the threat of a tornado to the horrors of line dancing, Paris is on the brink of throwing in her Gucci towel and must turn to Nicole for comedic relief. Meanwhile, the girls get a new job at a taxidermist and find things pretty, well, stuffy.

This marks the third extra episode added to the original six-episode series. During the airing of the series, Fox added an extra episode and a reunion special. According to Entertainment Tonight, there may be yet another "lost" episode produced as well before Fox finally closes the book on the first season.

It appears that the "lost episodes" are being pieced together from the outtakes on The Simple Life DVD, which is already available. Nothing like striking while the iron is hot.

In addition, Fox has announced that the previously-discussed sequel to The SImple Life will go forward; full details will follow shortly.

And, finally, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will be forever remembered in Altus, Arkansas -- the 800-resident hamlet where The Simple Life was filmed. To ensure their lasting memory, the town has now named an intersection after them, according to KATV.in Little Rock. The streets, dedicated yesterday in a townwide event, are named Paris Hilton Boulevard and Nicole Richie Avenue. We assume that both streets head directly out of town.
