Put another feather in Lisa Tucker's acting hat.  The former American Idol fifth season finalist has reportedly been cast in Born in the USA, a new Fox drama series pilot.

Produced by 19 Entertainment -- the same production company behind Idol -- Born in the USA is a half-hour primetime drama set in Philadelphia that deals with real-life issues of blue-collar families, according to The Hollywood Reporter

Tucker will reportedly play a "smart, beautiful and quiet girl with a good sense of humor" on the show.

The 17-year-old from Anaheim, CA was the third finalist eliminated from Idol's fifth season, but that hasn't appeared to slow her down much.  In addition to appearances on Fox's recently concluded The O.C. drama, Tucker has also made multiple appearances on Nickelodeon's Zoey 101.  Tucker began her acting career when she performed as Nala in a nine-month run of The Lion King at Pantages Theatre in Hollywood at age 11.

Should Tucker's Born pilot get picked up Fox, she might not be the only former Idol 5 finalist on television.  Last November, 20th Century Fox and 19 Entertainment signed fellow fifth season finalist Kellie Pickler to a sitcom development deal that would have Pickler playing "a naive small-town Southern girl -- a character based on herself -- who discovers that her biological father is the state's well-respected governor."
