A semifinalist on last season's "American Idol" has taken to Twitter to admit that he is homeless. But a spokesman for singer Alex Lambert insists all is well and that he has plenty of money to live on.

"Alex is not homeless," said the spokesman. "He's been crashing on friends' couches while looking for an apartment, but he's getting a retainer and working on (new music) demos."

"Idol" producer XIX Entertainment signed Lambert to a development deal shortly after his elimination, and he was given a second shot at fame via "Idol" creator Simon Fuller's 2010 web series "If I Can Dream."
