Bachelor in Paradise star Jill Chin has provided context to her love-triangle drama with Romeo Alexander and Kira Mengistu and also revealed where she and Kira stand now.

On Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season, Romeo stepped foot onto the beach in Mexico and said, "It's been so long since I've seen her, but I still think there is something there between me and Jill. But I am afraid Kira will be here. As long as she doesn't get in the way of me and Jill, [it should be fine]."

Once Kira arrived in Paradise, she assumed that Romeo was going to be her man, which erupted an argument between the two women.

Jill said it's been "so rough" watching the episodes back, telling Us Weekly on its "Here for the Right Reasons" podcast, "I don't think I've been able to catch a break."

Jill -- who claimed on the show that Kira "always goes after guys" that she likes -- revealed that she was actually with the physician from Pennsylvania when the pair met Romeo.

"Kira and I were really good friends after [Clayton Echard's The Bachelor season] and we were in New York and we met up with Romeo and then it was pretty clear that there was some flirtation going on between Romeo and I," Jill shared.

"At first, I was like, 'No, no, no. It's just nothing.' I'm like, 'Eh, I'm not really into him,' or whatever. Then we developed a friendship, and it was definitely more of a flirty friendship and it was obvious that there were feelings on both sides."

But the architectural historian from Rhode Island said she and Romeo "never crossed the line" from platonic into romantic.

"We never went on a date, we never kissed each other. I was purposefully just keeping that really separate cause that gets, like, super messy," Jill said.

Jill noted how all three of them were "good friends" -- until Romeo and Kira kissed in a club one night.

"Romeo told me, but Kira hadn't told me," Jill recalled, "and I was really hurt by that because I was really close with them."

Jill said she and Kira actually talked things out after that night and "squashed the beef" before their appearance on Bachelor in Paradise.

"Kira had apologized to me and was like, 'I know the trust is broken, but you've been nothing but a good friend to me.' And I'm like, 'Yeah, absolutely. Like, it's just gonna take some time to, like, heal from this. We'll be fine,'" Jill explained.

"And then I kind of separated myself from both of those situations, so I hadn't talked to them since February or March. And then when I got down to the beach, I thought it was all gonna be okay."

Jill said she "wasn't really expecting to see" Romeo, a mathematician from New York, on the beach.

"And so that kind of escalated things, for sure," Jill said on the podcast.

Once Romeo arrived in Paradise, Jill apparently assumed they were going to have a conversation because they hadn't talked in "so long."

But she said she never anticipated Romeo would want to grow their connection and date her.

"When I saw him coming in being like, 'I want to pursue Jill,' that really surprised me," Jill admitted.

But what was even more surprising was her fight with Kira on the beach. Jill shared how she was in "shock" when Kira began "throwing insults" at her.

"I was definitely taken aback by it, and in the moment, I was super emotional. People were like, 'Jill, why were you crying? You won!' But I am so non-confrontational, and so for that to happen on the first night was really jarring to me," Jill explained.

"I wish we sat down and had an honest conversation, but unfortunately, that's the way it went down."

Jill called Kira an annoying "b-tch," and Kira said she felt disrespected by Jill.

Jill told Us that she and Kira ultimately agreed to keep their distance from each other on the show because they weren't getting to a "healthy" place.

And since filming the show, Jill confirmed, "We haven't spoken at all."

On the latest episodes of Bachelor in Paradise, Romeo hit on Brittany Galvin, which resulted in all three bachelorettes being done with Romeo and wanting nothing to do with him.

Jill only accepted a rose from Romeo in order to meet other men who would be coming soon to the Paradise resort.

"I always try to live with no regrets and, you know, I learned a lot from that situation. So I honestly don't think I would've done anything differently," Jill said when looking back on the whole situation.

"I think [Romeo] was able to show me that he wasn't ready for this relationship," she added, "and so I moved on from that and I think that's valuable in itself."

Although Romeo and Kira attended Harvard University at the same time, Jill said she doesn't think the pair knew each other then.

Kira, for her part, cleared that up during a Thursday appearance on the "Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation" podcast co-hosted by Bryan Abasolo and Mike Johnson.

"We graduated the same year at Harvard. We didn't know each other super well, but we definitely were acquainted," Kira reportedly clarified.

"We didn't, like, hang out together. We weren't in the same friend groups. But I definitely recognized him when the cast list for The Bachelorette came out."

Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
