90 Day Fiance Star Michael Jessen's ex-wife Sarah Jessen is defending her comments to Juliana Custodio de Sousa and blaming the editing when it comes to a conversation the two women were shown having on the TLC show.

During Sunday night's episode of 90 Day Fiance's seventh season, Sarah was introduced to Juliana for the first time during a little dinner party held at Michael's home that included Michael and Sarah's children, Max and Cece.

Sarah and Juliana appeared to get along well as they discussed the role Juliana would play in their family, but then Sarah was shown telling Michael's 23-year-old Brazilian fiancee, "What I want from you is to not parent at all."

Sarah, however, set the record straight on the context behind her comment in a 90 Day Fiance Facebook group, which has since circulated online.

"I know that I've put myself out there and I expected a lot of negative comments. I feel sad about how hurtful these comments are...it surprises me because I always expect the best in humanity. 1). I own a construction company and the reason I was dressed and looked the way I did was because I was coming straight from a job," Sarah began in her Facebook comment, which she wrote on Thanksgiving.

On the episode, Sarah was wearing black leggings, a tight black tank top, flat work boots and a jean jacket. She also had her hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Sarah continued in her message to fans, "2) the 'I don't want you to parent' comment was cut mid sentence. What they edited out was the reason I have her which was 'you're adjusting to a new home, a new country and have a new relationship. I don't want you to feel the added stress of feeling the responsibility of trying to parent Max and Cece.'"

"3) Juliana and I are EXTREMELY close and I hope the producers will end up showing how our relationship has evolved and you will stay tuned with an open mind and heart," she added.

Sarah then went on to address the trolls who have criticized her appearance.

"4) and yes, I could use a little extra self-care. But being a single mom running 2 businesses makes putting myself last. And I value what's on the inside more than what's on the outside," Sarah wrote.

"5). The comments about my son's weight are particularly hurtful. I am extremely focused on diet and exercise in my home. There are extenuating circumstances that make it difficult for Max to keep his weight off."

Sarah concluded, "I don't typically feel like I need to defend myself but I do feel like I need to on this page. Happy thanksgiving!"

Sarah also reiterated her stance on the conversation with Juliana in an Instagram comment.

Sarah posted a photo of Michael, Juliana, and herself at the same charity event for cancer research, and one follower commented, "If all women were like you, the world would be a better place, and you are an inspiration, really admire you and have a whole new level of respect for you."

Sarah then wrote back, "omg. This is too much. I'm glad I touched your heart. The last episode suggested something different but I promise you I'm not mean!"

"And what was aired did not include the last part of that sentence which was something to the effect: I don't want you to parent because you're adjusting to a new life, a new country, new relationship and you don't need the stress of being a parent to my children," she clarified.

"It was meant to be supportive of Juliana and not as a rule that I was laying down!"

In the episode, however, Sarah seemed to suggest she didn't want Juliana to parent for another reason.

"I just hope that Juliana understands that the role of the stepparents will not involve any actual parenting," Sarah said.

"But she has a choice. She can either embrace this and let me be her friend and help her, or she can not. I don't know, because I don't really know her. I don't know what choice she's going to make."

Juliana was then shown voicing how she felt uncomfortable at the table because she didn't feel like she was a part of Michael's family.

Michael, a 41-year-old independent and self-employed wine entrepreneur from Greenwich, CT, welcomed Juliana from Goiania, Brazil, to America in a recent episode of 90 Day Fiance's seventh season.

The pair had 90 days to marry once Juliana arrived in the United States on her K-1 visa.

Although Michael and Sarah are divorced, they remained very close friends after their split in order to co-parent Max and Cece.

Michael had said he and Sarah dated young, welcomed children young and then eventually grew apart. They apparently became very different people once they got older.

At first, Sarah wasn't sure what to make of Juliana's intentions or her relationship with Michael, but she seemed to be supportive as long as Michael would keep Max and Cece as his top priority.
