The 90 Day Fiance: What Now? episodes -- which were released online by TLC this week along with the rest of the original digital series' 21-episode third season -- showed David and Annie still in the same living situation as they were at the conclusion of the third season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

Although David had found a part-time job teaching English as a Second Language classes to adults in the Lexington, KY area, the couple was still living in an apartment above a storage facility owned by David's friend Chris.

While it gave the couple a roof over their heads, the space also only had a very small kitchen, and no working stove or running water -- resulting in Annie having to cook in hot plates on the floor.

In addition, Annie also continued to remain frustrated and bored in the United States as her immigration status meant she still couldn't legally get a job or driver's license and be able to make her own money or drive herself around and be independent.

However, after months of waiting -- which included Annie starting to question whether David had actually submitted all her paperwork as he had claimed -- the 90 Day Fiance: What Now? episodes showed David revealing Annie's travel and work permits had finally arrived in the mail!

"I feel so excited!... I feel like I am free to go and can work anywhere and make my own money and not just wait for you to feed me," Annie told her husband.

Annie also apologized to David for accusing him of missing paperwork or hesitating to file what needed to be done to begin with.

David accepted her apology immediately but confessed her allegations hurt his heart.

Annie said she was now looking forward to obtaining a job and becoming "a successful couple." She thought her ability to make money and support her family back home would make her marriage to David stronger and healthier.

Annie then dropped a bombshell about what she'd like to do with her work permit.

"I'm going to join with the Army," Annie told the cameras. "I think I will join the military because that kind of job is very professional. That's successful in life if you can serve with the country."

David then pointed out to his wife that serving in the military could pay for her college education, and that there are American military bases in Hawaii -- which is much closer to her home country than Kentucky.

"Oh, that would be awesome," Annie gushed.

Now that Annie has her work permit, getting her green card is the next step in the process. And once Annie obtains her green card, she will also be eligible to get a Kentucky driver's license.
