90 Day Fiance couple Ashley Martson and Jay Smith aren't officially divorced after all, Ashley has confirmed.

Jay recently conducted a Q&A session on Instagram in which a fan asked whether he and Ashley are finally divorced and why they didn't work things out.

"Heads up we are not. That was a lie. I just [found] out a couple of days ago," Jay shared on his Instagram Stories, according to a screenshot captured by 90 Day Fiance Instagrammer John Yates.
And then on Friday, Ashley confirmed Jay's claim in her own Q&A session with followers.

A fan questioned Ashley, "Jay said he found out you're not divorced. Is that true?"
Ashley replied in a video, "Yes, technically I am [still married] because the paper was dated wrong."
Ashley, however, suggested she wants to correct the paperwork as soon as possible and move on with her life.
"So, if we can resign real quick with the right date then we wouldn't be married," Ashley added in the video. "So, let's get on [with it]."
Ironically, this paperwork error that keeps Ashley and Jay's marriage intact was apparently discovered less than two weeks after Ashley opened up about how she's still in love with Jay late last month.

"I failed my marriage, myself, my children. My heart was broken into a million pieces and the walls completely caved in around me," the reality TV star wrote alongside a throwback photo of her crying over Jay.

"It's okay to cry it out. It's okay to not be strong all the time. It's okay to fail. Whats not okay is to let it destroy you. You can, and you will, get back up and begin to pick up the pieces. To this day I still hurt. I still love him."
Ashley, however, went on to insist at the time her relationship with Jay was still over for good.
She had announced in late November 2019 she was divorcing Jay once and for all after he finally agreed to sign the divorce papers. (Ashley filed for divorce from Jay twice before in January 2019 and then again in April 2019).

"I just have come to terms with the fact it's over and I'm gonna be okay. So all of you who are struggling please know these feelings are temporary and you will get back to yourself. Time truly does heal wounds," Ashley continued in her Instagram caption in late December, before ringing in 2020.
"There is no more Ashley and Jay. I'm leaving this post with the final time I speak on us or our marriage. It's about to be a new year and I'm ready to start a new chapter and not look back."
Ashley starred on Season 6 of TLC's 90 Day Fiance with Jay, whom she married in 2018. The former couple later appeared on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.
When Ashley made her "official" divorce announcement in November, she also confirmed she's "a single woman" again on Instagram.

A few weeks earlier, Ashley admitted she and Jay had briefly reconciled but split again.
Ashley took to her Instagram Stories in October 2019 to throw Jay under the bus, and in the process, the reality TV star revealed she had taken Jay back as a romantic partner, only to be disappointed and betrayed by him once again.
"Stop making girls get abortions because you're a whore," Ashley wrote of Jay, who had an alleged history of cheating on Ashley. "Saddened to reveal we got back together AGAIN and now have split AGAIN."
Ashley posted minutes later, "After officially getting back together again, I heard Jay got ANOTHER girl PREGNANT."
Rumors swirled Ashley and Jay were back together in September 2019 when they were spotted at the same event in Pennsylvania.
At the time, Jay's now ex-girlfriend Kayla O'Brien -- who allegedly began dating Jay in January 2019 and was rumored to be pregnant with Jay's child in August of last year -- told RadarOnline she and Jay had broken up and were no longer together.
Ashley first filed for divorce in January 2019 because she had caught Jay flirting with other women on a dating app, however, she later decided to take him back.

Ashley's second divorce filing in April 2019 was a result of actually catching Jay allegedly cheating on her.
Although Ashley had set the divorce papers in motion on April 23 after 11 months of marriage, Jay apparently refused to sign the papers and so their divorce was never finalized.
As reported above, Jay apparently came around to signing the papers late last year.

Jay admitted on the Tell-All special of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s fourth season, which aired in July 2019, he had cheated on Ashley with two women.
However, rumors circulated for months prior to Jay's confession about his alleged numerous affairs and flings.
90 Day Fiance is currently airing its seventh season on Sunday nights at 8PM ET/PT on TLC.
