Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has announced she's leaving the Bravo reality series and her love life apparently plays a role in her decision.

Kent, 26, has quit Vanderpump Rules in the middle of the show's currently-airing fifth season, TooFab reported. She also confirmed her departure from Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant SUR.

"I'm excited for people to watch me exit because it's just going to show a new side of my life and I think it will get to show people who I really am," Kent told TooFab on Monday.

"I watch the show sometimes and I'm like, 'That's not me.' I want people to see who I actually hang out with, my day-to-day life. And I never got to show that. I'm excited for people to watch me leave Vanderpump Rules to be quite honest."

Kent has been wrapped up in controversy and drama, especially when it comes to her alleged on-again, off-again romance with a married man on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff.

Kent refused to reveal her boyfriend's name to her former co-stars -- calling him simply a "well-known individual" in Hollywood -- resulting in gossip she's intentionally keeping his identity a secret and therefore it's likely an affair.

"In their attempt to ruin my relationship, they've actually given me a large platform and I am just so thankful for them. Like who cares what any of us are doing, worry about yourself. I've never dated a married man," Kent explained, before pointing the finger at Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute specifically.

"That b-tch knows nothing about me or my life. She can't confirm sh-t. She has never even kicked it with me. How does she know anything about my life? She doesn't. It's almost to the point where I have to laugh about it [because] there's no truth to it. It's like whatever."

Kent admitted all the speculation her man is a cheater has made her relationship tense.

"I can say it's been a strain on me and my real-life boyfriend, because I had to deal with it throughout the season and going to him and complaining about it... was absolutely horrible. But now we're having to relive it again," Kent disclosed.

Kent and this mystery man, however, are "absolutely" still together. He is apparently an ex of one of her friends.

"He did tell me that if it ever got to the point where I would need him to step up to squash things that he would. But my goal is to protect his child and the mother of his child, who is a close friend of mine," Kent revealed.

"And I'm sorry, I'm a strong ass woman. I'm not breaking for anybody. I'm not dating a married man. I do have a boyfriend and no one will ever know who he is until I feel like we're in that place... because he's a well-known individual. So I'm not putting him on blast like that."

Kent was cut from the show's intro, according to Us Weekly, and replaced as a regular cast member by Stassi Schroeder.

"I made it halfway through the season and just decided that I want no part of the people anymore," Kent told TooFab. "I feel like they don't deserve to be in my world in any way shape or form. So I dismissed myself."

A Bravo representative has declined comment on the casting change.

Kent joined Vanderpump Rules in Season 4 as a friend and clashed with the majority of the cast.
